so im creating random seeds looking for that perfect canvas for a project. loaded the map up. turned and saw fire... apparently some open lava pool spawned very close to some trees, on fire. then those trees caught other trees on fire and so on and so forth. in short.... my world is on fire. this is either epic win or epic fail depending on how you look at it.... wheres smokey the bear when you need him.
ps. after the fire finally subsided i looked around and found this map is gorgeous. with most biome represented including a mushroom island.

I had a seed sort of like this. I flew around in creative to check it out, and after a few minutes got to the forest biome...The lava lake made short work of many of the trees. I just watched the world burn.

The good people, they always die. And the bad people do too...But the weaker people, the people like me, WE have inherited the Earth. -Morgan Jones
They said they were going to add beaches in the original change log, but, not in the in-game one. I've seen what I might call beaches..did they just not add the text, or am I just seeing interestingly shaped blobs of sand? hilly blobs that look like...hilly beaches
For some reason, I always seem to end up near Extreme Hills when I spawn...
a friend of mine spawned a map and we both spawned into it. and looked around and thought.. why is your world so blue. wtf. then w realized we were under water about 10 blocks or so.

yea they did. ive seen a lot of beaches. im guessing they altered the generators so it is more likely for sand to spawn near water. but ive seen a lot of desert islands becuase of this.
This weekend I found half a village. Over the ocean. The buildings were cut in half by the edge of the map and the villagers were all treading water.
When civic planning goes awry...
haha. i actually had a village spawn in the ocean at sea level. some of the buildings were cut off others actually dropped into the ocean. the villagers were all trapped in their hoouses. its a tragic story.

It is. I love watching forests burn (must be a closet pyro...).
Thanks. I love everything I've seen him in so far.

He is. I'm glad he was able to get on The Walking Dead. Did you know that the part was created just for him? He auditioned for Merle's part first.
On topic: I don't know what beaches are supposed to look like, so I don't really see any difference between old seeds and new..
I prefer having a portal like that! I don't have to worry about ghasts blowing it up.
yea. and mushroom biomes too. seems like the new world generator tries to balance worlds and add as many biomes as possible.
especially swamps.

i actually didnt know that. but i couldnt imagine the show any other way.
beaches are just were sand meets water. unfortunetly no bikini clad hotties and beach chairs here.
those suck. you never know if your safe digging in any direction and if you'll hit lava or fall to your death.
Same here. It's cool, supposedly since he's a totally new character, he gets a say in how Daryl develops.
And darn. Was hoping for a beach party.
