I actually like the lightning. Just had a lightning storm, went into a deep mine on normal with few torches and little food and no armor, and it was awesome xD Suspenseful but awesome.

Do many of you guys dislike the lightning that much? I love how it adds freakin' atmosphere. Even underground- where it even has a different sort of sound. Beautiful =D

First encounter: [xD]
*hears grunting noise during lightning*
*runs to beginning of hallway in fear, waits*
*exit and save*
*return and the zombie is only a few blocks ahead of me*

Okay, honestly, after that everything was much easier and less suspenseful, but still. Thunder is a beauty. [Rain? Ehh.... need more reasons to like it >.> Used to love it...]

It's that the lighting right now is bugged, when I set down a torch, I expect the surrounding area to get brighter, not stay pitch black.

There is a bug with the LIGHTING that is making games lag and the game almost unplayable for some.

No one has said anything about LIGHTNING.

I agree, when I'm mining sometimes certain areas are pitch black, even with torches. Hope that gets fixed.

And the lightning is dramatic, especially running back to your house being chased by multiple mods, with no weapons..

I agree with the OP, I love lightning in minecraft. I just stand outside anytime it thunders just to see where it strikes. Deep underground and a thunderstorm happens randomly it makes me jump, but the sound of lightning when you're basically at bedrock is the coolest sound ever.
