Chicken, cow, pig and sheep are common farm animals and have been domesticated for thousands of years. Mooshrooms seem, to me, to be a simple minecraft extention of the cow for mooshroom biomes and so seem to fit. Bats are common cave dwellers and minecraft has extensive mining. Man has been taming wolves for hunting and protection for thousands of years and is considered man's best friend. Ocelot (cats) have also been used for thousands of years to keep rodents out of grain stores and in some cultures achieved god status. Fish are the logical food choice for the water but you can not see them until they are caught.

But... b u t... spuid? Squid to represent all visible sea creatures seems the strangest choice. Sharks, whales and seals are seemingly better choices. Why squid? Anyone know?

Mooshrooms are weird and have soul-less eyes......

Does the sound choice for cows count?

A squid in real life would be a squid. A mooshroom in real life would be a cow with mushrooms glued to its head and back.

the mooshroom makes sense in the minecraft if you're going to have mushroom biomes. the squid don't represent all sea creatures very well.

Squid are the smartest creatures is the sea ,they are also some of the most deadly, unfortunately the squid in game are harmless, they should grab you and drag you down ,which would make the aqua affinity helmet make more sense. Mooshrooms are by far the most absurd animal, I mean what kind of creature carries an unlimited supply of mushroom soup dispensing madness aboard ?
