I dont know if i saw this on xbox or the pc but i know if your cutting trees down some of the saplings dropped will plant them selves therfore you should be able to get one to auto plant out of a dispenser right? But i cant get it to work was this pc i saw this or maybe im doing something wrong

Thanks couldnt find anything on the web till after i posted Does anyone have an easy way of getting wood so far i have a machine that pushes a tree out of the leaves and stacks all of the wood and a room where all the trees are planted together to make a big wall of wood but im trying to be lazy ofcourse Is there anything more automated?

Easiest way I can think of is just plant a 4x4 square area of tree rows, each with a torch beside the sapling. In general, if you harvest the tree, re-plant the sapling, and move on to the next tree by the time you've reached the end, the first ones replanted will have regrown. We've been doing that in my world quite a lot in the past week or so, filling chests with wood blocks in anticipation of the colored planks in the update.
