First off, I am new to the forums. But not quite to mc. I used to play mc classic but that was over a year ago and i no longer have Internet. Never played the full version. So I'm actually anticipating the new retail disc of mc. So my question is, which I have searched and found no results, what are the known biomes in the current version of xbox edition?

Lets see we have forest, taiga, plains, tundra, extreme hills, swamp, ocean, desert, mushroom island, and mountain. I believe that is all the biomes we have.

That's not too bad. As far as tu9, I know the confirmed beaches but I've heard that they are and that they are not adding jungles.
Any confirmations on that?

Confirmation straight from the horses mouth. Jungles will not be in Title Update 9. They'll be in a later update.

Well that sucks. I don't have Internet so what ever is on the disc is what I'll have to deal with.

Yeah it releases at the end of April.

So climable vines? Why add those without jungles? Lame..

I have another question. Will the current seeds still generate the same or will it generate totally different because of the beach biome? Just wondering because I've found some seeds I liked and I don't wanna waste my time if they won't be the same.

I think the seeds will generate differently due to them adding the beaches, which will change the coding.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Since the of equivalent is 1.1, if I were to google 1.1 seeds would they be the same on tu9?

Beaches are not biomes, so nothing is changing.

Biomes:

Forest
Desert
Taiga
Tundra
Plains
Mushroom
Extreme Hills
Swamps

Beaches, Rivers, Frozen Rivers, etc are not biomes and do not affect the biome coding when it comes to seed generation.

Shouldn't it still affect the generation of the world? Say there's no beaches in tu8 and then you try to generate that world in tu9 it will be exactly the same as tu8? Or will it slightly be affected to add on the beach?

It will be almost exactly the same, except there will be layers of sand where there didn't use to be.

Wait wasnt tu8 only a bug fix?
