I made a Parkour Map earlier this week, released it, and people liked it. I found a simple formula for making quick easy Parkour maps but I have a question(s) for the general public.
1. How many times could you die in a Parkour map before you quit?
2. How many block long should a course be so its not to short but not too long?
3. Do you prefer a challenging Parkour Map, easy, or hard map?
-Ty for anybody that answers, I wanna make another map and host another Parkour Map.
Well, I actually have never played a parkour map in Minecraft, though I have in Murder Miners. (Don't judge me...) I also enjoy obstacle course style maps in FarCry games. Either way, I think I'm at least somewhat qualified for my opinions to be considered reliable.
1. How many times could you die in a Parkour map before you quit?
It's hard to put a number on, but it would definitely be a high one. I've played relatively difficult maps where I died many times. And I mean many times... possibly 100. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever quit such a map due to difficulty. On the other hand, I will quit before even trying if the course is simply uninteresting. Nobody wants to play some map where you merely jump from block to block with nothing to look at. You want some sort of environment, a theme, something that gives the player a sense of immersion.
2. How many block long should a course be so its not to short but not too long?
Not sure how to answer this, as I personally enjoy a long and difficult course. Errr... 200 - 300 meters?
3. Do you prefer a challenging Parkour Map, easy, or hard map?
Challenging is good, but try to keep the difficulty on a curve. I like for the course to start off fairly mild and ease it's way up to ridiculous. Nothing is more infuriating than dying near the end of a map, respawning, and not being able to get past the first obstacle due to being in an agitated state.

Ty I appreciate the feedback.
