I found mine but I cant find the room where the portal should be? Can someone help me find it if I tell you the seed and the coordinates of the Stronghold? ( I will post the seed and Coordinates Tomorrow though)

If you post the seed string and the coordinates of the stronghold, I'd be happy to try to quickly check it out. It won't for about 14 to 16 hours from now though since I have to wait now until I'm off work.

No, because on 1 of my worlds that would be impossible to find.
Yes, because on few others I actually found in creative before playing... For the exception of my primary TU7 map. That one I didn't know until I checked in creative for a fortress.... Which at the moment it doesn't, but does have a stronghold and an intact portal. So biding my time waiting for the colored wood and make-able nether bricks to finally get here... Oh yeah I will be able to get to the end if I wanted when that comes out, but only on my recent maps.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I found mine by sheer dumb luck. I was wandering around underground, mining for coal, iron and what-not, when I stumbled across it. I couldn't find my way back and I didn't want to lose the location, so I dug straight up. Luckily, there wasn't anything hazardous above me, no water or lava. The End portal is intact, but I have a small underground ravine cutting through the Library.

Strongholds have never been in the nether... That is why the nether Fortress is called Fortress and not stronghold... The strongholds were around before the fortress.... If that is not what you are getting at, then you have confused me even more...
You will only find 1 stronghold per world, or should anyway... Same goes for the nether fortress... 4J has been working to ensure that all this remains true and so that things end up functioning as they should... Well from my perspective anyway.... So in short for, both. There is not something like nether fortress in the nether because there "IS" a nether fortress there. In the overworld is the only place you would ever find a stronghold which is something needed to be able to journey to the end.(That will be in the next update)
Strongholds are the only thing that has a portal that lays down like a pool of water... Where as the nether is just blackish purple in color with the background of the nether...

right now it is only a rare chance that your stronghold will not have an end portal. There is a chance however that the portal is not intact. Just because the eyes of ender do not work, does not mean there is not stronghold... All that means is there is just no end portal, or one that is accessible/intact... What I mean by doesn't work is you can't throw the eye...

I have had several occasions where the Eyes of Ender did not drop me right over the End Portal; but instead directed me to a different sectin of the stronghold entirely... so, I'm not sure whether they are all that accurate in this TU. Maybe when TU9 comes out and the End is active, they will be.
Anyway, I would honestly try using the XRay glitch in the creative mode world to see if you can locate the lava pools that are in the room; or as doogal suggested, listening for the silverfish spawner kicking in. If you hear silverfish spawning, you would then have to be within 16 blocks of the End Portal room.

have had that happen to me when checking out someone else's seed in the seed section for xbox... They say there is a portal room but the pearl/eye only lead to this storage room thing. lots of cobble with center well looking thing that is 1x1x2 hole surrounded by cobble with 4 holes in center over all being 3x3x2... A ladder nearby with wood ceiling that is the floor for second level which usually has a chest in it. Where the eye stops happens to be at on of the corners of the lower room no matter where in the stronghold I was. Search and looked around the easily accessible areas. dug around a few others... nothing....
So basically it should be on the map somewhere. Where is sometimes greyed like up mentioned... What I mean is you probably would have to find it manually due to the disfunctionality of the eyes in this current version. At least one can find a stronghold in this version, unlike like the prior one where eyes were not in. Now that is a tedious search....lol

This is kinda hard to explain but I'll do my best.
Pick a spot on the map and put down the coordinates. (just x & z)
throw the eye of ender and put down the coordinates from the spot in lands on.
Keep these coordinates.
Travel about 100 blocks sideways from where you threw the first one. Repeat the first process.
when youre done you should have 4 coordinates. The reason this works is because minecraft maps are basically giant graphs. Even though you cant see it, the line that that ender eye traveled goes on until the portal. With the 2 lines you have from the ender eyes, you can figure out the point at which they meet. This point is where the stronghold is going to be.
Hopefully this picture explains it a little better. Sorry if all this did was confuse you, just trying to help out.

I have found mine under a mountain. It has two rooms like what you described. In a room off of one of them is where I found my End Portal. This stronghold has a large library and a smaller one near the End Portal room. I did have to dig to find half the stronghold. The area like shown in Felix's photo is probably where the stronghold was severed millenia ago. I found that my stronghold was actually severed like this and not only seperated sideways but one part is also a block or two raised compared to the other. And in another part there are stonebricks and doorway that leads to what appears to be another part of the stronghold that is now lava and and cave.
My advice to finding yours would be to once in the stronghold follow the stone brick. If you see an end to what might look like it should be a corridor then dig around the edges of he hold and see if the stone brick continues on. That is what I did and I found both parts of my stronghold in about an hour, then the portal in about 30 more minutes. I then repaired the stronghold as much as I could.

There probably is a formula you could use but it would involve using slop and X and Z intercepts. It would probably be alot easier to just graph it.
