My question would be if you spawned a mob in creative mode and then when you were done setting something up and moved the game back to survivial mode, would the mobs still be there? or would they be gone? Or would using host privligaes be a work around to this?
The only reason I'm asking this question is that I'm developing a system that will allow a D&D type experiance instead of the typical RPG game that is run now.
What do you guys think?

The mob would likely despawn when you left the game to reload in Survival mode.
The way around this would be to fill up chests or your inventory with Spawn Eggs, then switch back to Survival. You will have the Spawn Eggs in Survival now.
As long as you don't switch difficulty to peaceful, I would assume that the mobs will remain. Also, I was already planning on creating a roguelike kind of game within MCXBLA. I call it... MineHack. Feel free to add me if you want to possibly collaborate on such a project.
hahahaha i made a castle with its OWN MOB ARMY when me and my brother fight he will have to fight through 100 zombies!!!!!!! and my air force (saying) 2 ghasts muhahahahaha this update is gonna be awesome and peaceful mode mobs will not spawn and survival like Mustache_Guy said stock up on them eggs in a chest

Mobs spawned with spawn eggs follow the same rules as naturally spawned mobs. Move far enough away and they'll despawn.
