the empty room lloks better with fog off. all the other rooms make me want to build something in the fog. all the fog in the rooms make it look eerie and ominous i like how it looks like that. it seems like the more u guys try to make me not like fog the more i like it. this is the coolest place ive seen yet

I'm not trying to make you dislike it. I was just trying to show how annoying it can be.
I will admit having buildings underground with the fog on will be great for an adventure map or if you just want to give the building/city a dark abandoned look.
Hmm... and now I sort of want to make an underground abandoned city... You have given me an idea! Thank you I will write that down!

Well I turned the fog on and I really like it. It doesn't really add very much challenge though. I can see how it could though if build down there. I just love the effect of it though. It just looks cool.
Well hopefully I will see an adventure map from you in the creations section in the future. I would start my project but I have a huge list of things to do. :/

when i first got it i though it was so cool then my friend changed my mind. now i have it on sometimes and off sometimes. its weird as when it came out it was automatically set on. i thought it was automatically set off when it came out

I like how it looks around level 8 to 12. Kind of like a misty haze instead of a blackout effect. It gives off a foggy cave look that feels like your deep underground somewhere. If it were that all the way down to bedrock I would play with it turned on. But, when I'm mining on bedrock, and I can't see the torch that's 6 blocks away, that annoys me.

On the topic of Fog... Does anyone know if Fog is enabled if it would help with MP lag? Seeing as it appears to not be rendering too far ahead.. ?
i never thought of that. lets think. hmmmmm. you dont have to render much which helps. BUT all the movement and graphics from the fog has to do something. i think it helps us not lag as much BUT it doesnt help to much.

Well see, I wonder.. if in theory the distance further down is already rendered... but! the fog is now additional to that. Making it even more laggy? lol I feel like we'd need an official answer.. for MP I'd totally deal with fog if it helped the lag at times.

it could work like that but i see it as when fog is on you only render what you see at the time
