I am hosting a maze game for my friends on my creative world. I want my friends to be able to craft items and place blocks but NOT destroy blocks, however, though, I want them to be able to destroy blocks using TNT.
I have host privileges enabled with the following: trust players enabled, placing blocks enabled, destroying blocks disabled, TNT enabled, fire enabled. I don't want them to come to my world to test it because it will give away the surprise, and I can't go into my own world as a non-host player. Will this work out as I planned with those settings? Thanks!
Do you have a second controller and a second profile on your Xbox? If so, you can log into the world, have the second profile join the world, and use that second profile to test the system.
i cant really tell if it will as if a player cant place block he/she cant break blocks and if they cant break blocks they cant place blockstry Skul's idea

You should always have a flat world sandbox. What that does it you can pretty much test anywhere in this world for stuff you are trying to create or redstone creations, etc. It's very helpful to have.

Start another map and have a friend test out the ideas. You won't need your maze you just need to test what they can and can't do and adjust accordingly.
If you are worried that they will break blocks and cheat the maze make it out of bedrock. Then switch to survival
and I can't go into my own world as a non-host player.
As others have said, all you really need is a second controller. You don't need a second online profile, just create a second offline one for yourself locally on your Xbox. Sign in first as your regular gamertag and start Minecraft. First things first, turn autosave off. Then, launch your gamesave but with "online game" unchecked. Sign the second controller in using the local "offline" profile you've create and press start to join the game. This will activate splitscreen mode Test the abilities of Player 2 and then exit both Players 1 and 2 from the game without saving. Next time you launch Minecraft, turn autosave back on and next time you launch that gamesave, recheck "online game" etc.
Note: This won't work if you don't have an HDTV since splitscreen mode is involved.
