I find that things built in creative mode are quite underwhelming when compared to those made exclusively in survival , mainly because most things made using creative are possible in survival mode, but many choose creative because it's much easier.
I go back and forth on which mode I play in. I have a map that's strictly survival and i have a map that's strictly creative. I'm proud of both cause both require different types of dedication/skill. If I wanna try something new or get an idea that just isn't gonna happen on survival, I do it on creative.
Sometimes I get bored on creative or I don't have any ideas, so Ill jump on my survival mode and work on my tiny quaint home. Both are soothing in their own way.
I've noticed that I play longer sessions on survival, and get more frustrated with creative. So, it's whatever floats my boat at the moment.
But I guess that wasn't the question... If someone is using creative mode the bar is set higher.
When I'm looking at builds, I'm judging the build, not the person's gameplay. It makes absolutely no difference to me whether it was built in creative or survival.
I personally have no preference on which made is better. If two people built the same exact thing in creative and survival, I would be equally impressed, depending on the depth of the build. If they build a giant box, I'd hate both. If they built a huge, sprawling city, I would feel sorry for the guy that did it in survival, but I would be equally impressed.
However, when I build myself, I get a sense of satisfaction when I finish something in survival. I built the same mob grinder based on the one from kevblog.co.uk on two different worlds. While I was proud of both when they worked, I was more proud of the one I built in survival because I knew how much time it took to build.

i agree with skulblaka. but you really should add a "it doesnt matter" to your question instead of just yes or no

You guys are stubborn, if I saw that eden build look exactly the same as creative mode and as survival I would obviously say the survival one is more impressive. Creative builders need to quit crying and trying to defend laziness.
This post is ignorant as can be. Some builds including that tree of Eden build, which could easily not be done on survival. You need to realize some people go for an amazing aesthetic to builds that just can not be done otherwise. You can call it lazyness all you want but I've been on both sides. Building is building and despite if you fly/dont fly, Collect/Don't collect resources. You should appreciate builds by the way they look and not how they're made.
My guess is that all the people who dislike Creative and Creative Builds must have hated Legos as a child.
The people who built awesome things with Legos didn't go out and manufacture those Lego pieces so it's obviously of lesser quality when built into something.
Everyone trying to make clever replies are just butthurt. If the effort it took to do something is greater then I think it is more impressive but I guess i'm weird to think that. Besides, it is harder to do in survival because of enemies/hunger/falling/drowning/burning and anything else I forgot, therefore it is more impressive; deal with it kids..

There's nothing wrong with it and you're perfectly entitled to your opinion. However, the way you word things makes it clear you're looking for someone to disagree with you. I'm glad you find builds in survival better I just prefer when builds look nice as opposed to something probably less impressive looking in survival. If I can respect your opinion you should at least respect ours.
Everyone seems to misunderstand my point. If the builds are equal, the exact same massive amazing thing in survival and creative, then I like the one that was harder to make. If it is exactly the same size and detail as an identical build.

And I'd agree with you 100% on that point. However the reason people prefer creative is just the ease of access. People like to build stuff without worry and without spending hours and hours of time in a mine. I myself love when I can accomplish a great build in survival. I also feel amazing when I look at the landscape of the city I'm making and realize I'm building this. There is no downside to either side, just preference.
I disagree.
Hmmm, well it all just comes down to the build itself. There's nothing lazy about going into creative and placing tens of thousands of blocks. maybe some people like myself don't prefer to gather those thousands of blocks. I have spent hundreds of hours into creative alone on one map (now multiply all those hours and my map would never get finished!). and it is exhausting. and there's nothing less impressive about it than any generated map I've seen that's for sure lol. This is of course all a matter of opinion.
and some of you guys need to chill haha it's a poll, not an argument about who's right and who's wrong. there is no wrong here. (except for the "I play survival and if you don't you suck" attitudes goin on here sheesh.)
I dislike creative builds most of the time. I feel like in creative they could make something in 10 minutes but in survival it takes 30. If you build in creative, it should be better builds. The expectation in survival should be low.

I'd rather have more fun and feel accomplished in survivor.
