Since March Break started me and 3 friends have been playing MC360 religiously. We have put so much time into flattening a village and building it back up I'd guess it's probably illegal. We ventured into the nether today to look for blaze's, and a fortress, and spent hours being killed over and over. We were eventually so angry that we switched our world into creative (autosave off) to have a look around. We spent another good 2 or 3 hours blowing it all up with TNT trying to find the damned thing. So here we are, at the end of our leash, wondering if it's possible that we didn't even get a fortress. Could this have happened? (World was generated on latest update). If we ended up not getting one I may just but my hands on my head and rip it open like an elevator door...

SO PLEASE! HELP!

Don't worry, a fix is coming very soon. There will be a "Reset Nether" option in the next update(TU9). As far as I know, it will completely reset anything you've done in there and then generate a "new" nether. It is likely that you will have a fortress at that point, but there's no way to tell for sure.

Sometimes you may find them generated in a wall of netherrack. Check there. If not then you're just really unlucky. Every world I generate always spawns me on a nether fortress. Don't see how you couldn't find one.

Side note
If you generated the world, it generates the nether also. If you made a world before the update then went to the nether, then you have no chances of finding one. Just saying.

As previously stated, they can be fully encased in walls.
If you spent hours bombing the place, you probably should've seen one, but I suggest taking a few X-rays of the area to be sure.
If not, wait until TU9 and reset your Nether. owo-b

If you had it since March you should most likely have a fortress in your nether. Are you sure you looked through the place? I find it hard, while possible, to think that your world could have generated without one. Like the others say I'd recommend checking through the walls manually and when you see mobs, try and figure out where they are spawning from.

It'd be great if you sent in a screen shot on the forums of how your nether looks like so we know

Thank you guys for all the replies, I feel a lot better that there will be a Nether reset in the next update, it's a shame I already disabled leaderboards, but it's a small price to pay. Just to try to get to the bottom of this, I will work on taking a bunch of screenshots, but our Nether is probably the worst one ever created. It's a big open room with many floors, but at the same time there is so much Netherrack for it to hide in it's unbelievable. Spent the majority of the last hour X-raying the place and still nothing. It's not a problem though if we can reset the Nether in the future. Also, to the people saying it might be in the walls, we spent hours on end digging, and eventually bombing the place to end up finding nothing.
