Yeah I'm ready, I've got my Enchanted armor, decent sword and bow, ender eyes and enough materials to make 10 layers of the DocM77 enderman xp farm! Cant wait for the update

I've been ready. I have a staging area set up with eyes of ender, 9 stacks of cobblestone and plenty of resources to make a ridiculous amount of arrows. Also enough food to feed an entire city!

I'm literally ready for it. 3 stacks of diamond from branch mining with fortune pick. Chest full of cobblestone. 16 enderpearls. Chest full of arrows. 7 stacks of steak. Chest full of bows.
But unfortunately I can't go into the end because my world was generated in 1.7. Since they have added nether reset option, now I can easily get xp from blaze spawners and make potions in my world. Glad they did that.

could always just build one unless you want to be strict survival only
Almost. I've found my portal and I have a nice marked staircase down to the stronghold. All I need are 2 ender pearls, and I should probably make some better armor too, but I kinda wanna see how I do going in as I am.

It seems most of you have forgotten that there will be more than the End in TU9. I have 701 Netherrack that will smelt nicely, and chests with open spots above them for item frames. Also I'm gonna climb up and down vines for at least 5 minutes straight, just because I can. And my Nether is ready to be reset; it has no Nether Wart, so I won't lose much (granted it was nice to spawn inside the Nether fortress very near 2 blaze spawners...). Apart from that, I don't see much for me to get ready for.
Easy now Hidden, no need to quell the anticipation. Sure it may not look good or over the top stuff yet there is still plenty in it. I for one love the fact we get different planks than the monotonous oak plank. Spawn eggs will be a nice feature in creative as well. (Especially if you make a nice village that needs a population)

haha im only being realistic and im happy about the wood and spawn eggs
the wood would be amazing for my boat and spawn eggs populating the boat, and eggs+dispencer going in arena
also its better to anticipate nothing then anticipate something and that hope be proven wrong, that in itself is knowledge, so i anticipate nothing until it becomes true (:
Lets see... A doubble chest of lvl 30 weapons, and armor. I got 50+ potions or each one, Even a chest full of regeneration potions.(that's a lot)
