From 4j Studios Twitter page. Hold on, just went to go find the Tweet and noticed that it wasn't actually 4j that wrote that, had all tweets open yesterday so got it all mixed up with fan tweets, was some guy claiming that, I apologise for that, I should double check before posting stuff lol
No problem, I just hadn't seen 4J post that so I was curious.
4J is the business partner of Mojang, so yeah, what they do is certainly with Mojang's blessing. However, the "theft" I was referring to would be if any freelance PC modders used 4J's idea in a mod for the PC version without 4J's and Mojang's permission (and probably Microsoft's permission as well, since they are also a "partner" in developing the Xbox 360 Edition). If Mojang themselves wanted to add the idea to the vanilla PC version, they would certainly have 4J's permission to use 4J's ideas.
It probably won't be unique since any modder can make an Ender Dragon spew acid out of its mouth, unless someone would like to keep the Xbox version more unique from the PC version.

Just because some modder wants to add this to MC Pc doesn't mean it's REALY in the game, we are talking vanilla to vanilla here

Unique or rather set apart from the pc Vanilla edition. That means no mods... And so far it is not like that without mods. Not everyone uses mods... mods do not define what pc minecraft is. The vanilla edition is what defines what minecraft has. That is the comparison... At least the way I see it..--_--

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
Not true at all. I've been playing MC on the PC since beta 1.6, and I think the 360 version is just as enjoyable. In fact, playing it while sitting on the couch is arguably better than sitting at a computer. If I didn't enjoy multiplayer servers (more-so the ease of communication without the need for a mic) so much, I'd probably just stick to the 360 version.
yeah the xbl messaging system is very lacking in that regard... i use the xbl android app, but maybe 50% of the time i get a 'message couldn't be sent right now, try again later' type error... major downfall of the whole affair.
plus the PC version (like most PC games) just pops up the message on screen... MCXBLA has no public message/all feature.
otherwise, the server size is quite lacking on xbla.
8 players on xbla... reddits mcpublic (pc) servers have like 2-300 player limit... 40-50 online at any given time, sometimes wayyy more than that.
regardless of that, 4j is rocking it.
one could argue they actually have greater potential moving forward to the next gen consoles since it's not written in Java.

The lack of a text based chat is the only reason I haven't bothered looking into servers so far. Well, I mean... we have signs, but that just doesn't cut it for me Also, I'm not comfortable with using my voice on a server due to my speech impediment. Since many people have keyboards for their controllers, I think it would be a worthy investment for 4j to add chat similar to the PC. This would even allow for players to use PC commands (/gamemode, /toggledownfall, /kick, etc), if they so chose to.
I don't really mind only having up to 8 players on a server, since I've always been a fan of small vanilla communities on the PC version. I suppose that some people would prefer to have more players, but it wouldn't make sense with such a small world. It's not a small world by my standards, but it would be if you tried to cram more than 8 players into it.
If the 360 has a successor and 4j decides to port McXBLA over, they'd be able to vastly improve it, in my opinion. The biggest hinderance 4j is likely to encounter is hardware limitations.
Yes he did say that, but he meant it in a snooty, sarcastic way. He was basically emphasizing the fact that the 360 version doesn't have mods.

I could have sworn 4J studios had tweeted that they where going to add "SmartGlass" support for MCXBLA so that you could have text chat...
No matter what they do to please the fans, there will always be a butt hurt 14 year old complaining. Bring on the xbox exclusive additions, xbox edition lacks so much that the pc version has so this will only make it fair. You mad pc gamers?
