dont mods get approved by mojang before its released? if 4j makes an idea exclusive for 360 mojang wuld jus deny the mod from getting released rite?
I would hope they would have some way of blocking the outright theft of ideas from their business partners. If the ideas are good, I would think that Mojang might want to preserve an opportunity for themselves to add it into the vanilla PC Minecraft version.
Well look at the Xbox. I play both all versions of the game (yes even the new PI version) and it is things like this that separate the Xbox from the PC more and more. You watch, soon they won't even be the same game anymore.
I CANT WAIT for them to be different games! I want there to be a good reason for me to own all the different versions of minecraft, I personaly LOVE the additions they are making to the end!

4j always gets Mojangs permission and blessing, before they implement new things to the Xbox version
hmm.... this is going to make clearing the end for what I have in mind a little more challenging...hmm....
Interesting though people are talking about how pc mods and xbox doesn't... Since i don't use mods on the pc edition that is irrelevant all together. I know quite a few people mod on the pc edition, that is fine they do what they can to make enjoyable for them. I will always like the vanilla minecraft as it is, even if there are a few minor things I don't agree with. I can say the same with the xbox edition. I will always like the vanilla version of the game no matter the minor things I don't agree/like with it.j
To me, each is a separate game of the same genre, and I simply don't understand why people insist that it is just a port of the pc... It just does not say that in "minecraft xbox 360 edition" and like someone else mentioned about the other "versions" of the game; those are not the same either. This is my own opinion and I stick to it, as that is how I see things.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
Let's be honest. For all the guys who say it can be modded in, it probably can. However, unless Mojang makes it, it'll never be in your vanilla game. I cant wait for the end!
I would like to add for those complaining about the feature so much that 4j has already stated that it does nothing, it is only there for visual effect only so you are not really missing out on much
4j studios has said no such thing, where do you get your information
IMO - PC version is far superior. xbox version is simply more accessible as is the case with any other xbox port of a pc game.
despite that, many of the xbox's unique features are kinda necessary to accommodate the hardware and control interface limitations...
anything beyond necessity is just to make up for the compromised gameplay that we get due to the hardware and control limitations...
so i like that they are getting creative with improving the experience on xbox since without that, the game would suffer and really feel compromised to anyone who has played the pc version.
I think it's great. I think some PC gamers "fear" that the Xbox developers might actually come up with some good ideas... and of course, they're going to use modding on the PC to try to copy those ideas onto the PC (if they have no ethics regarding copyrights, that is). It will still be 4J's idea.
You make a good point, pc molders might run into some copyright issues if they try to copy this
I don't get it, why do that for the 360 version and not the PC? I don't see the logic in that.
People shouldn't have to feel forced to play the 360 or PC, because one has an element that the other hasn't.
The Logic is that they are two completely different games. Mojang and 4J have the ultimate goal of making the PC version and the Xbox 360 Edition different from one another. Hence why the one on the Xbox 360 isn't called just Minecraft, but is called the Xbox 360 Edition. It is a different game.

People mod things into the game regardless of copyright. You can be pretty much guarenteed that someone is going to copy this new feature for a mod. For example, the Portal Gun mod uses actual sound from Portal 1/2.

Not true at all. I've been playing MC on the PC since beta 1.6, and I think the 360 version is just as enjoyable. In fact, playing it while sitting on the couch is arguably better than sitting at a computer. If I didn't enjoy multiplayer servers (more-so the ease of communication without the need for a mic) so much, I'd probably just stick to the 360 version.
I can't even get into the end nor find and end portal, never seen one in my life. I noticed ended eyes are supposed to help you find them, but I can't throw those things. Can someone give me help??

Acting like a creeper in your signature is too mainstream.

PC or 360? if 360, it could be your world has no stronghold with an end portal frame (which they home in on) or just no stronghold what so ever. I have found one map like that before (using the seed from my first world ever, generated new into a very difficult survival island seed, 3 total trees, located on the otherside of the map from your spawn). It's weird, but i guess it happens. If the world was created before the strongholds had end portal frames in them, you're still in the same boat as my first option.

4J is the business partner of Mojang, so yeah, what they do is certainly with Mojang's blessing. However, the "theft" I was referring to would be if any freelance PC modders used 4J's idea in a mod for the PC version without 4J's and Mojang's permission (and probably Microsoft's permission as well, since they are also a "partner" in developing the Xbox 360 Edition). If Mojang themselves wanted to add the idea to the vanilla PC version, they would certainly have 4J's permission to use 4J's ideas.

Wait for time
In the break of new dawn
We will never meet

The Ender dragon doesn't ever go near them. It's coded into him to stay a good distance from his healing crystals

You aren't forced, you have your choice, Mojang/4j studios just want to provide different exsperences when you play mc no matter what platform it's on

The PC version has had that since before the Xbox 360 Edition came out...

Pretty sure he meant that the PC players would mod stuff like the content 4j was going to add.

The only way for PC players to get an Ender Dragon that breathes fire or acid as an attack is to that a mod that allows it.
