I have created a world bound to be AWESOME.
I have a big home in a mountain, I'm working on a city, etc...
But there is a problem with it:
NO NETHER FORTRESS
At least as far as I can tell
I have found NPC Villages, and strongholds, and abandoned mine shafts, etc...
Every structure of this type EXCEPT in the nether.
No nether fortress means no nether brick
AND no blazes.
No blazes means no potions, no End (once the update comes)
I don't wanna go into creative in this world, but if I don't find anything soon, I might jst give myself a stack of blaze rods and nether brick or something...
Nor do I want to make a new world in order to find one.
Yes I do have multiple nether portals; yes I have searched from multiple start points.
MY REAL QUESTION IS:
Is it possible for no nether fortresses to spawn, even if structures is on? And if not, can someone give me tips on finding one without messing with the world too much?

Don't worry man yes they don't spawn sometimes..... yet in the update in the next few weeks there will be a reset nether option (which means new seed for nether each time I think )
In the last update they said that there will be a nether fortress in every nether. Did you make your place after the update if so then there is bound to be one just keep searching and sometimes you can find them in an underground cave so you can just dig down for a bit. Also sometimes if you delete one brick of your nether portal it will make a different portal once you put the brick back. Or it will at least spawn you in a different place in that nether possibly closer to the nether fortress
