Maybe if they add the wither, it could be in a sub-dimension with enclosed inside a 50L x 50W x 15H bedrock room that the wither is only allowed to spawn in upon being built, with a lighting similar to the nether where even if there's no light source, you can still see. It would allow enough room for a fight with the wither, but remove the potential destructive value in the overworld. (though i would greatly enjoy watching the wither kick the living hell out of all the ghasts in the nether)
Unfortunately, this strategy basically removes some of the danger, and the fun, of fighting the Wither. In the PC version, you have to REALLY think about where you place it, or it could risk destroying part of your home. That's what makes it sound so fun. The fact that you have to think. If it spawns in the sub-dimension, it kinda ruins the fun. Not to mention, if it's that small, it basically means that, sooner or later, you're going to have no cover from the projectiles it shoots out, thus basically ensuring your untimely death.

Not if you get hit by the Wither effect. It turns ALL the hearts black, making it impossible to see how much health you have left and drains your health constantly. The only way to avoid getting the Wither effect is by fighting it on easy. It'll hit you on normal or above. If you kill it before it can destroy all the blocks, you're set. If not, you're in trouble. It's more dangerous than the Ender Dragon when out in the open.
I would like to see it in 360. Only players who don't know what they're doing will let it overpower their worlds
There are lots of these out there... Haha.
I love the little perks on the pc but I'm indifferent to the possible release in a future 360 update. It wouldn't affect me because I have no combat skills and would never bring one into my world, haha Unless, that is, for the purpose of destroying it.

I am on the complete opposite side of the fence, I love the Perks on the Xbox and I love challenges like the Wither
Not everybody wants to go out and purchase something they aren't going to use very much. It'd be just a waste for somebody like me. The only thing I'd be using it for would be Minecraft. Nothing else.
I doubt they will ever make it to the Xbox 360 Edition.
They can destroy an endless amount of blocks and they're rather difficult to kill. Imagine one set loose in a world and you can't kill it. With how tiny the Xbox 360 worlds are, it would be a disaster.
Why do people think the map is so small i mean seriously you don't need an endless world.

THANK YOU! I completely agree, i have never used a 5th of my world size for buildings nor have I ever dung up a 5th of my ores before eather... It's large enough for me, try a MCPE map THATS SMALL
I want withers! Building most of a wither in a friend's house, then completing it as he walks in the room would be great lol. or if he doesn't know what it is yet I can ask him to place the last piece for me lol or convince him to build the whole thing for himself and that something cool will happen when he does!
Anyways, as long as they give the withers laser beams.

I'm on a laptop. My desktop doesn't have a USB keyboard. It's one of those old fashioned ones. And my laptop's keyboard sure as heck ain't detatchable. Think before you post. If I made a post about not wasting the money buying a whole new keyboard that I wouldn't use for anything except Minecraft, why on earth would ANYBODY assume I already had one? Wouldn't that completely make my post pointless?
Please add the Wither, many of us are thrill seekers and enjoy a challenge that could possibly damage the world. Don't listen to the kids who play on normal difficulty and can't handle it, add it for the true gamers. I would fight it over and over because I enjoy boss fights.

Nobody assumed anything, hence asking a question.
Also, some of us might be a bit older and don't throw much out like ps/2 to usb connectors. Also we might not have a use for them anymore, and wouldn't have minded sending one to a good home.
But you're right, I shall think before I post next time instead of trying to be helpful to somebody in the community.
It's probably because of that ridiculous interface that comes up on the Xbox when you use a sign. You have to scroll to each individual letter in order to put it in. On the PC, you just type it on the keyboard. Could you imagine having to scroll and input 12,800 characters (the max number of possible characters, 256 per page/50 pages) on the 360? Absolutely ridiculous. Until they make a much easier interface for it, they more than likely won't be added.
I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to spend my time typing with the controller using the on screen keyboard to right an entire book. Doesn't sound all that awesome. I'm also not going to spend $20 or whatever it is to get a chat pad I would barely ever use.
As someone stated, keyboard is always an option. You can find a USB keyboard for about half the price of a chat pad, and they're 10 times easier to use. I always assumed that most people had one or the other these days. I've been using one almost ever since I bought my first 360. Then again, I hold a furious and irrational anger towards on-screen keyboards.
Speaking of which, what's with the text input in the YouTube app? I mean seriously, does anybody think that was a good idea?! They somehow found a way to make on-screen keyboards even more frustrating.
ugh i hate the wither i hope it never comes to xbox i mean it doesnt matter to much to me as i dont play my xbox much i play my wiiu alot more now which btw is what im using right now to post this lol wiiu ftw but like mustache said it would be disasterus to have the wither boss●◆■▲▼☆★♥♡¾½¼‰%♪♭
The Wither will probably never come to the Xbox.

It's supposed to attack all living mobs. It'll ignore undead mobs, like skellies, zombies, and wither skellies.

You've always loved the wither? Isnt that a recent update?
I can see you always loving cats, or always loving mine carts. But Withers?
I'm just curious.
How did you type this message?
Most likely on a laptop, or a tablet/phone.
I use tablets exclusively and no one in my house owns a key board...
