I think I found a solution to preventing dog fights...
Keep your breeding dogs to an even number (2, 4, 6, etc.) because when I had an odd number of dogs, they did, indeed, start fighting. This does not happen each and every time it's an odd number breeding but, when a fight did start, it was an odd number of dogs. So I really hope that helps with those of you who breed dogs.
I still think it's very weird that 4J decided to add this aspect to the game.
I've had this happen with only 2 dogs... I don't think it's the number. I think it might be a glitch where, if two dogs take too long to breed, they "get angry" with each other.

who has 6 or 7 dogs..... I barely want one..... Which is probably why I've never seen that happen. Yet I still have a solution..... just hit both of them with your hand. They will run around for a moment. (skulblaka008 love your profile pic. I know where most of those items come from )
If you have a castle or fortress built it's kinda cool to have a few dogs scattered around at gates and such. I usually keep a half dozen of them. It's also handy to take one along with you when you venture out into the forest on a hunting expedition.
