anvils.i dont see the point of. if they do ad it that would be cool but if they dont i dont think it will bother me too much. and books i was wondering a few days ago i havent heard of anything yet so i guess we will have to wait and see. i kinda wish typing on the xbox was easier.

Reapairing enchanted weapons and tools. that really nice Diamond Pick I have that has Fortune III and Unbreaking II could be saved forever if we had anvils. You could also combine enchantments to get stronger weapons and tools. Then, if we had enchanted books coupled with anvils, we could level V enchantments, which we currently cannot obtain.
As for whether they will ever see the light of day on the Xbox 360 Edition, nobody knows. I'm sure we requested it enough, 4J would make the effort to bring it forward, just like item frames.

The Very Scary update is actually version 1.4.2. That is many updates past 1.2.3. so the chances of us getting things from it are kind of slim. Though since we're getting item frames, who knows what else we may get later on that is pulled forward.

Considering how many new things are being added in TU9, things that the PC just got or doesn't have yet, I think there is a really good chance of getting these things and then some. Hopefully if people request things enough (like redstone blocks) we might get them.

Upside down stairs have been confirmed by 4J that it will NOT be in TU9
