Hello everyone, just a forum noob with a question on wolf love mode:

So I have a decently sized wolf pack, with 8 wolves in it, and I have been having them interbreed with each other, because I use them to fight endermen. But I have run into a problem, when i have my wolves enter love mode with steak, they do their "dance" kiss, but no puppy appears. Is anyone else having this problem? I have my wolves on grass and give them plenty of room. Could use some help, because endermen usually take out a few wolves and now i have no way to get them back. Thanks

after breeding there is a time period when they can not breed again. maybe a mob limit has been reached. do you have some other packs of wolves beside the 8 with you?

no I only have the 9 with me, and I tamed a new yesterday, with the same results. I dont think its a system bug because my wolves on my other game make puppies.

don't know if it is true or not, but i have read people having 20 tamed wolves, but the only way to get that many is have a full multi player.

It sounds like a mob spawn limit may have been reached. Do you have a animal farm close by?

thanks everybody, your right they were at their spawn limit, when I killed one and activated love mode, they made a puppy

now for a way around that....... hahahaha (evil laugh)........... walk across the map ,find new wolves, breed them till they limit out ,and walk back now you got like 20 wolves HaAHAHAHAHAH
