Do blazes only spawn in nether fortresses?

Is there only one nether fortress per world?

Blazes spawn from spawners...

There is only 1 fortress per world, like there is only 1 stronghold per world...

Damn. Damn. Damn.

I found a nether fortress, got excited and stormed in, found a blaze spawner and killed it.
Now I can't find any more blaze spawners.
