i was playing minecraft on the X-box and i got back on a world i hadnt been on in a long time and i had made it a little bit after minecraft came out for the x-box and its in survival, but a forest biome i was in, and the water i was next to started to freeze over i had thought nothing of it, but it later froze over a lot more and then instead of raining it started snowing! SNOWING! it had always rained until now. how can i explain this?
That's really weird...maybe you were actually not in a forest biome?
It's not weird at all actually.
It's most likely a world that was created before the 1.8.2 Adventure Update. The Biome code changed in 1.8.2 and as a result, any worlds before 1.8.2 have their biomes move to fit the new biome code. The terrain itself does not move, but the effects of the biomes do. Like water freezing, or it suddenly snowing where it used to rain.
