All you gravel haters its not really that bad im a major archer (i can snipe a creeper from around 150 blocks away if its standing still OBVIOUSLY in daylight due to the night decreasing view range)and seeing how many arrows i use defending my castle from creeper sieges (derp decides to bring some green friends to the new castle just finished celebration (;-___-) ) i tend to use from 5 to 60 arrows a night i need alot of gravel.
Creating a skeleton trap is much more efficient at stocking up on arrows than hacking away at gravel to get flint for arrows.

i would but as i said in a diffrent thread me personnaly i consider it cheating you dont have to do anything but sit there for exp and drops... it ruins it for me >_<.
Freaking hate gravel. The texture is ugly and it always falls on me. I only tolerate it because it gives me flint. Other than that, I hate it with a passion.
I got to say Obsidian as my most hated. It's ugly, only has one purpose for me (portal), and it takes a long time to mine. So once I make my portal I avoid Obsidian the rest of the time. With Gravel, at least if you have to remove it, you can do so pretty quickly.
what about an enchanting table

and for people who die in the nether by lava. that's kinda what you get you should never dig strait down because everyone knows THE WHOLE bottom of the nether is lava. and ghast that's why you make bows and arrows. blazes are same as ghast use bows and arrows. what u should do is always stay cautious and dont even try to fight ghast in the first place.
i only go near sand if i need glass, because the sounds that it has had through minecraft is terrible
what about gravle its even more annoying sound

If by "get used to them" you mean that you take all of your Birch Logs and turn them into Birch Planks, then yes, I have definitely gotten used to them.

Guess that makes Bedrock, Dead Bush, Nether Brick, Moss Stone, End Portal Frame, and Brick the worst blocks in the game then, to your logic.
I'd vote gravel. Screw gravel.
nether brick isnt useless you can craft it and make a awesome house.brick isnt useless i could spend like 30 mins listing stuff to do with it.moss stone is not useless either its probably my second favorite stone. but the bush is useless. and the end portal wont be useless for much longer

I always carry a stack of gravel with me so that if I find myself at the edge of a cliff or ravine I really want to explore I can. Gravel and sand are the only ones that will fall so I use gravel against the closest block and let it fall to the bottom of where I want to be then keep dropping until it gets up to me then just hop on and dig straight down. I always leave one in place and surround it with torches so I remember how to get back up. When it is time to get back to the surface I just jump and drop a block all the way back to the top.
Why not just carry a bucket of water? It's faster, has more uses, and you can even make an elevator if you need to take it with you by placing it a few block up above you and then swimming to the top collecting it and placing it a few blocks above you again, repeating the process until you get to the top.
Also I'm surprised nobody has said lava yet, I mean it is technically a block. But besides that, probably netherack, I had three ghasts attacking me and I nearly died because it's so flammable.

Retired StaffHow could anyone hate dirt? It's arguably the most important block in the entire game.
Yep, lol. It is also super useful because you can waste it and it is easily obtainable.
Personally I hate gravel because it falls. At least sand can be changed into glass.
