I know a local bar in my area that serves a seasonal hard cider that they call (it's a little suggestive, so please keep an open mind, and if you don't want to read it, don't open the spoiler, simple as that)
"Lil' Dicken's Cider"
.
Anywho, calling chickens "dickens" just makes me think of the author, guess i read too much... but oddly calling them chucks reminds me of the tongue twister "Chuck you farley, you and your whole famn damily can go buck a fuffalo for all i shive a git!"

yep, and if anyone complains, my argument will be, they DID NOT have to open it, i gave the option... is it my fault their curiosity killed their cat? nope
and BTW, that hard cider is exceptional... very great flavor, but after 2-3 pints you're on your ass laughing at nothing (or at least i was last time i had it)
I don't hate any of the stuff... I do however find gravel annoying though... Seems to be more abundant than sand, even when the map is covered in it...><
It has its' uses, but I don't use it for many of them. Temporary roads and pillars is about all I even use it for. Now only if you can do something else with them in the crafting menu, that would at least give a better use to storing the loads of it...lol
I always carry a stack of gravel with me so that if I find myself at the edge of a cliff or ravine I really want to explore I can. Gravel and sand are the only ones that will fall so I use gravel against the closest block and let it fall to the bottom of where I want to be then keep dropping until it gets up to me then just hop on and dig straight down. I always leave one in place and surround it with torches so I remember how to get back up. When it is time to get back to the surface I just jump and drop a block all the way back to the top.

I use them in that instance as well. Still would be nice for a better use for them...lol I find several alternate uses, but would be nice if it had a recipe for the table to make it not fall on command or into something else, like pavement of some kind. We have cobblestone and that is basicaly just larger mass of rocks in the block. Why not have something similar to that but still look like it came from gravel, slabs stairs and the like.:D Also good for underwater excavating....

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
While I do find gravel annoying on occasion, netherrack is at the top of my list right now. 3 attacking ghasts + surrounded by netherrack = dead adventurer

Especially if there is a thin sheet of netherrack over a pit of lava! >.<
I got to say Obsidian as my most hated. It's ugly, only has one purpose for me (portal), and it takes a long time to mine. So once I make my portal I avoid Obsidian the rest of the time. With Gravel, at least if you have to remove it, you can do so pretty quickly.
I love all the blocks and love running into gravel while mining ,there is always stuff like diamonds, iron, or redstone around a gravel pocket .Sponge isnt on survival so who cares in my opinion . I do not understand how anyone would not like something that mines easy and fast like gravel and dirt in a game about mining ??? and edge blocks which are not actually blocks suck because it means you have to stop and I always find like 8 diamonds that I cant break

Red sky at night, sailor's delight.Red sky at morning, sailor take warning
personally Sponge is the most infuriating block in the game its downright ugly and it doesnt do what its supposed to suck up water at a like 5 block range if it did i would LOVE it
All you gravel haters its not really that bad im a major archer (i can snipe a creeper from around 150 blocks away if its standing still OBVIOUSLY in daylight due to the night decreasing view range)and seeing how many arrows i use defending my castle from creeper sieges (derp decides to bring some green friends to the new castle just finished celebration (;-___-) ) i tend to use from 5 to 60 arrows a night i need alot of gravel.(the reason i would like the spongs 5 block range is to just sit thereat the bottom of an ocean and mock all the people who would drown on the way to me being murdered by countless mobs)
Gravel. It is my sworn enemy in Minecraft. I have gotten to the point that when mining, if I find gravel, I will completely go around it because I cannot stand trying to go through it.
break the bottom block of gravel, quickly put a torch in its place, if your timeing is right, gravel will fall on the torch and pop into dropped gravel. i find that real easy.
Why is are everyone some people hating on the sponge? Just because you can't do anything with it doesn't mean it's the worst block in the entire game, does it?
Definitely any redstone-related tile. Completely useless and stupid.
And I expected to see more hatred towards bedrock, to be honest. When I did play survival, it would always cause annoyance as it would restrain me from getting the most out of my slime chunks.
Not sure why people hate sponge so much, I'm oblivious to it 90% of the time. I forgot it even existed until I saw this thread. Sure, it's pointless and ugly, but does it actually give you any problems? You guys pick on sponge in the same way the popular crowd at school picks on the fat kid. Shame on you, you big bullies!
lol down with spongebob

Well, that's better than a dicken, I suppose.

Gravel is also useful for air locks in underwater houses

i've 'accidentally' mined a netherrack right below me because it breaks down so fast, resulting in my own lava pit death.
