- Blocking minimizes all damage from hostile mobs to 0.5 -1 heart. Though you have to be facing the attacker to achieve full blocking potential. Also your speed is about the same as when you're in sneak mode
- You can block and attack at the same time, this is good for HG and PVP.You'll minimize the damage significantly, while harming your foe. On the down side you'll lose your agility while you do this.
- You can eat and punch simultaniously. Don't know what use this might be, but you can.
when starting out try and put some key items in a chest pick ax sword steak furnace ct planks this way if you die far from your spawn its not so bad picki.g up the pieces of your shaterd world * drops to knees* * screaming "NO!".
32. Obsidian can be blown up with ~280 TNT, bedrock is about 500 million.
33. Sugar cane grows faster on sand.
From the Wiki:
It is a common misconception that enough TNT will destroy Obsidian. Even though its explosion resistance rating is finite, additional TNT or other explosives will have no more effect on an individual block than only one; Thus, this cannot be done without mods. (It would take 71.25 times the explosive power of TNT to destroy a block of obsidian.)
and
There was a myth that sugar cane grew faster on sand than dirt or grass blocks. It has been disproven. Sugarcane grows at the same speed on dirt and sand.
As for my own tip, carry wood blocks with you while you're mining instead of wood planks. While it's unlikely you'll have to use that much wood, you'll have 4 times more wood with a stack of 64 wood than a stack of 64 wood planks. And you don't need a crafting table to make wood planks or sticks (though you should carry one with you anyway)

Sometimes, following the Eye of Ender when thrown, it may have to explode (I don't know how to describe it) to show the exact location but when digging down, there is a high possibility you won't find it. Fire's in the wild is least likely to happen to spread wildly on grass, but however trees are the danger during a fire. Cakes can be only eaten on survival and must have the hunger bar 1/2 missing or more.
Got a whole LIST pulled up here.. get ready..

35. The average amount of diamonds per chunk is 3, while butter (gold), is about 7.5.
36. Slimes will always jump in a straight line.
37. Slimes and iron golems - and a few other mobs - can't swim.
38. Lava will travel 3 blocks when placed on ground, and 4 after hitting the ground. Both are 7 in the Nether. Water will travel 7 extra blocks either way.

1. A strength II potion will increase your base melee damage dealt per hit by 3 hearts and triples the durability damage that you do per hit on your opponent's armor. An extended strength potion is also very handy for grindouts because it provides eight minutes of slightly increased damage and it doubles durability damage per hit. 2. If you hit your opponent while you are falling, you deal extra damage to health and armor durability which adds up with the strength of your weapon and your strength-related status effects. Be careful not to jump too often to get crits when your opponent is facing you and hitting you. Being airborne makes it easier to get knocked far back which will potentially prevent you from getting more hits for a period of time. Nonetheless, this trick is great when your opponents have their back towards you or are in the middle of managing their inventory.

It is a tip, just not a MC tip... seriously, don't eat yellow snow (unless it's italian ice).
