I, for one, create a cozy mushroom house and then create a pen of mooshrooms for all of my needs, they have many resources. just to name a few, meat, leather, mushrooms, milk, and stew. oh wait, i just named em all
That is not the point... I am use to the pc mooshroom biomes. Mobs don't spawn on them. I can't figure if that is a glitch/bug or was intended as no one really answered that from 4J.
What would be the point in setting up base on an island that I would only be going there for the cows. If there was no mobs spawning, that would be the time I would setup a shack and have a rail system go to it, but since that is not the case, it is just better to just lead a red cow off the island and back to my original location that I have my base at.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

yah im used to the pc mushroom biome too, like the only safe place in minecraft but the mobs in the biome present a challenge, sometimes fatal, but fun nonetheless also why would you lure only 1 cow i would lure 2 via minecart or wheat so i could breed em for a farm
Ewww, I just make sure i don't build near that ugly grass...
lol mycelium reminds me of grass after a night of drizzle... wet, slimy, mushrooms everywhere, an d worst of all... SLUGS. Completely gross, but its the only way to grow giant shrooms :S
if night is falling, I'll make a quick mushroom emergency shelter (ala Paul Soares Jr). If not, I might collect a few mushrooms and then keep going. As Tamorr says, since it's not a safe zone in MCXBLA and I don't like the ambience, I'd rather find a better place to set up a home base. If I wind up setting up shop close to it, I will use it as an ongoing mushroom farm and perhaps corral a couple of Mooshrooms for stew. If i wind up setting up my home base a long ways away, it generally just gets ignored.

yah i sometimes just collect some mycelium with my silk touch then gahther some red mushrooms and lure out a few mooshrooms

never really said any specific amount...O_o
that is all the biome is good for at the moment beyond the grass.

What do I do when I see one? Walk on by. I've never seen a single mooshroom spawn, and mushrooms aren't valuable enough for me to want to grow giant ones with the mycelium. So for me, they're just pointless bits of biome that require half a map full of water to spawn.
i make a cozy mushroom house on one of the flat brown ones and make a red one into a breeding house:) i luv mushroom biomes! did u know that if u dig straight down into the right area in a mushroom biome u can find a cavern full of diamonds,iron, coal,redstone,and budder!
In all my world mushroom biomes have been really small so it doesnt give me much space to build, also i dont like the mycelium and ive never build a mushrooms house cuz i think it would look stupid. All in all I just pass um up, no love lost if my world doesnt have one.

ive found that in a mushroom biome you have better luck that any other biome so kinda yea
