#1: The Map Size and "Fog Of War" visibility. I know we're dealing with Xbox limitations, but each time I start a new world, the world map somehow seems smaller and smaller to me. And I particularly hate how there's such a limited vista distance. It really kind of is a drag when I climb up to the dizzying tops of my castles and can only see 40-60 tiles away. I wish we could see for MILES like you really could. I also hate how my large structures "sectionally" appear when I approach them on the cusp of this visibility range.
#2: The POV Change Left Joystick: I've posted about this before and was surprised to see that it affects some folks, and some folks it doesn't at all. But I hate the fact it's too easy to press that left joystick in and switch to that STUPID 3rd person view (which flipflops your control directions, confusing you) when I get startled. This usually happens at the very worst time (ie a Creeper ambush). I've never seen another game that does this: the left joystick is always used for locomotion.
#3: Overall Pointlessness of the Nether: Your mileage may vary, but I find the nether to be pretty darn pointless. This has been alleviated with the inclusion of fortresses and Blazes, but still, there's not many reasons to go there. It would be refreshing to have some advanced features and quests that can only take place in the Nether.
#4: Lack of Decent Multiplayer Access Limitations: Let's face it, you really can only play Minecraft cooperatively with people you absolutely trust, if you give them the permissions that will let them do much of anything. It really wouldn't be hard to flag certain chests only openable by certain players. I really want to play Minecraft cooperatively, but none of my explicitly trusted friends play MC much these days, and I really don't care to play the game constantly keeping an eye on what the other players are up to. As long as this game has been around, there's really no excuse for the lack of "Security" features.
#5: Spotty Update Information: First I must confess I am DELIGHTED how much work 4J is putting into this game. I'm surprised at how much content we get, and how often. But I really hate this "We Only Update You By Tweets" nonsense. I don't use Twitter. This site is good about keeping up with disseminating the latest info, but I don't see why 4J can't just keep a damn update and scheduling page.
None, If you approach the game for what it is. As if there were no other versions, the game is perfect.
I don't feel the need to dissect it. Only problem I had was the "bedrock fog" that was quickly made in to a toggle-able option.

Check it out for awesome tutorials and constant content!
Bedrock fog is now toggled off by default. Its a sparkly darkness that isn't affected by light sources and is only at bedrock layer. If you haven't seen it, toggle it on and go down to bedrock. I found it interesting but very annoying for site distance.
Well, this may be more a problem with those I play with, but it seems that regardless of the host, there are issues with lag all around in multiplayer. This makes playing on survival more of a chore than it needs to be, and at times the lag can be so severe that it prevents anyone who isn't the host from daring to venture out into dangerous areas. Creepers + lag = nightmare scenario. This issue is something that I simply do not experience on other titles, so I know it is not my connection, nor the connections of my friends who all run similar broadband connections. So...what's the problem?
2. Mobs despawning / breeding issues
It seems that even with the latest update, mobs will still occasionally despawn, making breeding an iffy activity. I am not aware of how the updates coincide with the PC version and if this problem may continue to persist on the PC or not, but I am fairly certain it will be addressed soon enough. I hope it does sooner rather than later, because the combination of breeding an the possibility of mishandling the mob populations and losing all of a particular mob from a seed for good both add a vital element to survival. Or, at least, I imagine they would.
3. Limit of seed size
Yes, I'm aware this is an issue of the Xbox's hardware capabilities, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. No doubt there is a massive amount of world to explore and manipulate even with the restrictions, but the possibilities of more are always tempting.
4. Lighting limitations
I may be in the minority on this, but it is bothersome how difficult it is to light certain areas or buildings. More often than not, you have to sacrifice aesthetic desires in favor of placing torches/glowstone in uneven, random sequences just to monsterproof a given area. Not a problem if you're sticking to a smaller dwelling and the like, but when you get into big builds on survival, this really bugs me.
The only real problem i have with the game atm is how laggy it can be at times. Hopefully that will change once anvil map format arrives. In split screen i really hate when your partner is going into and out of menus alot as it kinda 'freezes' your for a split second, its downright annoying, luckily i don't play split screen a lot.
For what you posted:
1: You're only seeing 40-50 tiles away? It only takes less then 5 seconds to before chunks have spawned and I can see at least 160 blocks away.
2: I hate this too, they should have an option for this: Toggle, Hold, or Disable.
3: The nether isn't much different than the PC when it comes to it's usefullness, it's there to give you materials you can't normally get. The big problem I have with it is that it freezes the game after every other update they come out with. Now that I can't get into the nether I'm currently entering creative mode and giving myself the items that are past the "portal of crashing".
4: I really don't see how allowing them to get into certain chest would help, they can still tear your house down if they wanted too. If you don't fully trust someone, start a new map with them and see how they play.
5: I keep this bookmarked: http://www.minecraft...coming_features, one thing you have to realize though is after they've finsihed making it they send it to Certification Testing and that's the only thing they can tell you. After that, even they don't know when the next update is out.
I do have things in mind I wouldn't mind seeing but those will be added eventually... At least a portion of them... upside down stuff, and colored wood planks/slabs/stairs.
I would say auto arrange stairs but that is not really a certainty and has never been even mentioned by the company. Still would be nice to see though.
The only times I start dislike playing is when something like the reappearing bug shows up. Feels more tedious after that. But right now I don't have much problems with that, so I'm good...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
If I'm correct then the render distance in the Xbox version is 128 blocks in each direction, which is the same as "Far" in the PC. Which is as high as it goes without the Optifine mod.
Draw distances are one thing programmers shorten in order to decrease load on the processors and decrease lag in the game. So, would you rather see farther and add more lag into the game than already exists or keep the draw distance where it is and hope to find more ways elsewhere to lessen the current lagginess of the game?
The nether was equally pointless on the PC during these versions. It wasn't until much later updates that the creators of Minecraft changed their philosophiy even a little bit regarding the Nether. Ores and such in the Nether have been introduced by third-party modders, not by Mojang. Mojang have explicitly stated (at Minecon) that they want MCXBLA to remain recognizably the Minecraft they created. To me, this implies that, although 4J may want to take the game in their own direction, they are going to be very limited (by the game's creators) in what they will be allowed to do.
To respond now to your question, OP - Personally, my #1 hangup about Minecraft is the culture of free-reign modding that has grown up around the PC version of the game; and that many people have the full expectation that they can "force" this culture onto the XBox. When I play a game, I personally like to tap into the original creator's philosophy and experience the game has he intended it... unhindered by the "we can improve on this and that" attitude of modders that basically turns the game into a different game.

I, for one, never expected this to be as flexible as the PC version... therefore map size has no bearing. If anything, it should be a good thing that map sizes are limited and you actually may go out and try to find other seeds. I initially bought this for my niece, but just like Legos... once I get started, my creativity takes over and I get hooked.
That being said, there are no real hangups about this game, knowing full well that this isn't the PC version. Annoyances, maybe. Those being...
1.) Lag. Again, this is partly to do with amount of memory in the xbox... and a lot to do with the amount of data that needs to be transmitted to x number of players. When you have a game that pushes the memory to the limits as it is, and then it needs to use up memory to run processes for each player to transfer what is essentially part of a database to each of them, it adds to the lag issue.
2.) Left Joystick clicking does annoy me as well. I always seem to click it when I try to turn around to run from a creeper.
If I'm correct then the render distance in the Xbox version is 128 blocks in each direction, which is the same as "Far" in the PC. Which is as high as it goes without the Optifine mod.
OK, so it looks like I underestimated the vista. The fact remains that you still can't see as far as you should up at the high altitudes.
1. Lag. I hate not being able to play with friends who live in a different state. It's not bad with 2 or 3, but any more than that, you start to hit some serious lag.
2. 8 player limitation. I wish we could play with more! Imagine hunger games or a survival world with more people! Obviously, the connection issues would just make moving one block almost impossible, but still would be sweet.
3. Lighting. My buddies and I just made a huge pyramid and there were just random spots on the inside that were lit up. What is up with that? Fix it.
4. People comparing Minecraft Xbox to the PC version. If you want to just complain about all the stuff they have and the 360 doesn't, then go get the freakin PC version. K? Thanks.
5.Controls. Honestly, my controller is so worn out and most of my analog sticks are so messed up. I absolutely despise how sprinting is the way it is! How hard is it to make it like Call of Duty sprint? Parkour maps are impossible with my controller and it's just aggravating. Also, why have the cameraview a button and not sprint? Who uses the cameraview more than sprint? Answer: No one. Fix it.
Hmm... well, I don't really have that many issues... There are a few however.
#1. Lack of Host Options. I only say this because I can't stand the fact that I can't give my Moderators certain abilities, such as flying, turning invisible, and setting things that only I could normally set. I would like to give them the power to fly simply because it's easier for me when I'm away, and they can manage my world while I'm gone. It would also be cool to give moderators the ability to switch between Creative and Survival.
#2. Lack of Security. I hate having to have a secret chest in a friends world where they have tons of people come in and out of it. It would be nice if they had locked chests where we would have to put in our own password into the chest to unlock it. It would also be nice if we could ban certain blocks in certain areas. That would be cool too. xD
Though I do prefer the Xbox Edition over the PC version, I do have to remind myself that the Xbox Edition is limited in what it can do. Especially when it comes to some features (like password protected chests and banning certain blocks in certain areas and more power to the Moderators)
To many "corrupted blocks", redstone glitches......
Some examples...
A friend and I made a tic tac toe game, well it works well maybe 1 out of 3 attempts. Every error that occurs isn't because of invalid logic, it is because of these "corrupted blocks". They consistently happen, whereas something will be stuck ON for some reason while there is NO power going to it....
To further elaborate, in a row of 15 redstone dust, randomly half of it will be powered causing the power to go thru when obviously it should be off as there is no power going to it at all, and the only way to fix it is to destroy the dust and replace it................................(a million periods)
We made a clock, no to mention how slow it is and how laggy it because, pistons work for the most part but randomly will not be on time, causing the clock to go haywire and causing alot to be fixed, along with the corrupted blocks.....
These are my huge petpeeves of Minecraft, I absolutely LOVE working with redstone, but these glitches make me not want to play.
1. Lack of people to play with. I'm not one to play with people I don't know usually, and alot of my friends are busy with college work.
2. Lack of objectives. This can be attributed to the small world size, but after I complete my current building project, the only thing left to do is to find my Stronghold.
3. Multiplayer Lag. I have 30 Mbps (Download) and 2 Mbps (Upload), yet when certain people join a world I'm not hosting I lag like crazy... Why does this affect me so much..? Host also has good internet...
4. Finding out I'm missing something. Nothing kills my desire to play minecraft more then the fact that I could possibly not have Netherwart in a new world..
5. Map lag.... Blocks reappearing, redstone not working/timing issues, etc...
For me...
#1: The Map Size and "Fog Of War" visibility. I know we're dealing with Xbox limitations, but each time I start a new world, the world map somehow seems smaller and smaller to me. Thats all that matters, Trust me...

Well, where are they?
