Is it just me or after the most recent update on the xbox 360 the enchanting table stopped giving me anything above enchant 18 and even so it takes a few trys just for a chance @ that im getting usually echant limit 12 most of the time. and the fact that i have a 5 x 5 x 4 around of book cases so theres no question i should still be reciving max enchanting from it. anyone else getting the same thing?
I'm kinda sleepy so I don't know if Im reading this right, But are you trying to get the max enchantment?
If so just do this
If not Im just sure what you mean...
Note: If there Is anything other than bookshelf's on top on of the first layer of bookshelf's It won't give you the Max 30...And Its always Been random

I have done that and couldnt get max enchantments i then expanded it 3 up covered the roof and floor with nuting but bookshelves (cuz i had that many) and max enchanment wont come up anymore
alright i feel stupid i found out WTF it was any more then 2 torches within the circle then forces the max to go down. 2 torches = lvl 30, 3 torches = lvl 24, 4 torches = lvl 12 and so on... ended up destroyin a bunch of my shelves in the procces but @ least its workin

Apparently only the row the table is on... and the row above it are the ones that count. 15 bookshelves are the most that go towards an enchantment. There must be open space between the table and bookshelves. Placing anything within the space between the table and the bookshelves will negate it's bonus... torch, blocks, slabs... anything. The safest thing to do is place torches above your head, so two rows above the table.
