found a major bug while hosting a hunger games. it deals with host options. if you are falling and double tap A mid-fall, you will receive fall damage as if you had just hit the ground. brought myself down to half a heart when it happened.
Is that repeatable? I'm asking because it may just have been lag related.
Some new glitches today, including the "cannot sleep because monsters are nearby"...even though I am 3 stories up in a castle and I continuously check the area and find no monsters (although I can hear Zombies groaning relentlessly).
Detection range is 16 blocks same as noise range. If you can hear them, they can track you (ignoring the wierd glitches about them not supposed to be able to track you through solid walls).
Also note: i heard this the other day and while it never occurred to me to count "blocks" in this manner, the fact that someone brought it up makes me wonder.... 16 blocks means "16 volumes of space"not "16 faces on the blocks."
Just a simple 3x3 that spans along the entire edge of the map for mining and what ever else is needed and i normally go around the difficulties so i can get some stats in the leaderboards when i dug into a mineshaft that was occupied with 3 creepers while on hard. Now i did not want to get killed and lose my ores i accumulated at this point so i backed off a bit and saved and quit. I came back to my world on peaceful but what i came back to was me about to be killed by falling gravel.
The chunk i was in changed to the point that a section of about 11x7x5 above me starting at the ceiling going up changed from stone or dirt to gravel and it came down on me. Every reload from there on had the same thing in the same spot.
This is not the first time this happend. In tu7 a part of what i thought was sure as heck as a solid dirt wall in another part of the map had changed into gravel.
Another time was in a tu5 map where i was on the surface and it was getting nighttime in the desert and i had a ton of stuff i did not want to lose including my map. When i came back the ground sank on me into a cavern.

Just tryed earlier and I couldn't place down a boat in creative.
Also how would i personally message 4J? Im aware of another major glitch that crashes the game but few people know about it so I dont want to announce it for trolls to learn and do it on servers.
Mooshrooms disappear from their biome if you leave the area also sometimes while you are nearby
i fenced in a whole mushroom biome island and they still disappear even the babies even normal cows in the biome go missing as well don't know where they go the island is flat so they can't be dying from fall damage and they can't get to the water

padaware posted recently to explain that passive mobs will despawn if they can move more than 20 spaces in any direction, so limiting your fenced areas will be the key.
Do we know, is this from the mob's point of origin/where they were born? Or is it from a point of rest?
I started a 'beast hold' for my animals. I went a significance distance to find a cow, lured it back to the hold and into a pen, then went out to find another and by the time I got back, the first was gone! Remembering the distance comment, I went and found a third cow that was closer and luckily the second cow hadnt despawned yet. I immediately bred the two and when I traveled away to get some sheep, one of the adult cows was gone when I got back! I did some more experiments, and it looks to me that the 20 blocks limit is from the bobs spawn point, not just how much how much room they have in their enclosure. I'd have to recommend that you breed your animals as soon as you get them where you want to keep them and try to get at least a pair that were spawned in the pen. Have not been gone for a significant amount of time or distance since I bred up all my breeding pairs so there might still be an issue if travel distance is only used as a priority for deletion, rather then the only qualifier.

So i finally got me a video of it. It changed blocks that went from stone to in this video redstone and a water block. Last night i was unable to catch it on video but there was a time that i got a lava span right in the middle of my tunnel.
Sorry about the video quality i got it on the fly but the main thing was that i got the video showing it.
EDIT: I took some before and after screenshots below.
All XP orbs sound exactly the same, when it should sound like jingling. Nether portal crash is a critical bug, and I'm mad that I have to wait until march or maybe April to use it again. Also, having problems with getting killed by mobs that were not there two seconds ago. There is no way the mobs are able spawn right near you.
I don't know if you would call this a bug or not, but it is annoying. Animals that have been trapped in a pen always seem to press together at the gate (or door) and jump constantly. this can be a problem when trying to enter or exit the pen,and sometimes (especially when it's lagging) the animals can escape. Does this happen to other people or is it just me?
" Let me guess...... someone stole your sweetroll"
Yes, i've noticed that too. My solution so far was a gateway using two fence gates for my pens.
In another case i'm breeding chicken in my current base which has 4 entrances. Most of them are hanging out directly in front of the doors all the time.
Well lets hope in the next update they will change it.
Today, after playing about 20 minutes wandered after some animals to kill and came back and found all but 2 of the animals in my pen had disappeared. I had sheep in almost every color, 2 full cows, 2 full pigs, and a bunch of babies before I walked away and 1 cow and an orange sheep left when I came back. I had not gone more than 65 blocks away (I know this because my 2 houses which are centered on 2 shafts that go down to bedrock that are exactly 50 blocks apart, and I was level with the second house and my pen was directly on the otherside of the first house.). I had only been gone long enough to kill 3 cows, and 2 sheep. After logging out and back in, none of the animals reappeared.
It happened again today as well. Had gotten my animal count back up to 4 pigs (2 babies), 2 sheep (1 baby), and 2 cows (1 baby). Went down the shaft in my house, came back and they were all gone.
I actually made this last statement in the last bug thread.
Iron Doors make an opening sound when activated by a split screen player
When using an Iron door (Similar to using a normal door) the sound plays when the second player of a split screen game activates the door using LT.
Only thing is that it's not just split screen. It's always been there (Never played in split screen) since the first update of TU7. It doesn't do it when you have something in your hand, but when you have an empty hand it will make the noise.
Also there seems to be a bug where you have to destroy all the book shelves and the enchantment table in order for it to get back up to 30. Or else it will be around 20. We had 30 book shelves for a library and we had to destroy them all because the limit was 20, sometimes 21, even though the first time we added up to 15 shelves it went to 30. (It was also raining to, not sure if that could have been a factor.)
Rain seems to cause a horrible lag in Multiplayer. Had to exit 5 times and even then it was still laggy. Caused an issue with trying to open chests, mining, and trying to go to sleep, and killing hostile mobs. Where on my friends screen the Mob was already gone, but I was taking a lot of damage and died even though I was told that the Skeleton died. My friend said I was just standing there doing nothing.
Some how for some reason, chickens can escape fences, and jump over fence gates. (Nether Fence gates even more.)
if you send a very brief pulse to a sticky piston it will drop the block you are moving. This is documented behavior and is actually used by some folks to make extremely small t-flipflops.
Check your timing to make certain that this is not happening with your lower piston.
Yes, this is the way it is supposed to work, although I personally feel the wording the message "created in creative mode" is unclear. The reason why it changes is because using host privileges in survival mode disables the leaderboards and achievements the same way that using creative mode does. The message was put there to alert players that anything they do in that world is not going towards the leaderboards and they will not be able to get achievements in that world.
The problem wasnt the saving in creative mode, it was the fact the host options arent working. You cant fly if you are in the game on your own.

Well, once up the 2nd one doesn't come down. It gets stuck in the UP position, so the 1st sticky piston really isn't all that sticky...
If that makes sense... if not I can take pictures later.
Check your timing to make certain that this is not happening with your lower piston.
