Iron doors are just messed up.. i can never make a double door with them or one of them will always open and i cant fix it +When i put a button by it and hit the button it actually closes for a second so its like it is being activated by redstone
Interesting... I used to get what felt like a much more random mix of enchants whereas now it is almost a guarantee. Ive put tools of all material and iron armor and a bow and the highest possible was still 11. At lower levels such as 10 or 11, there does seem to be more randomness, but its still predictable (my iron armor is ~always projectile protection 1).
As far as bookshelves i have over 150 in a column surrounding the table so i hope i have enough.
Now I am still fairly new to the game so some of what im saying may be working as intended but i dont think so. The seed is 6840974717710875324 and my newest library is at x: 305, Z: 356 if anyones curious.
And yes, i meant since TU8. I just checked the up coming features for the first time in a little while and got excited
I'll check out your seed when I get a chance and see if I can recreate the issue.
Enchanting Tables are only affected by bookshelves that are 2 blocks away. This includes diagnals. There must be an air block between the Table and the shelf; even a torch will stop the ET from getting "power." This may be your problem - make sure there are no torches near the Enchanter. If the middle option is a Lvl 30 enchant you got it right (it will red if you are a lower level).

This is normal for this version of MC. It should get fixed in the future but for now you will need to supply the open door with an active RS signal. Place a RS torch under the block that the open door is on top of - this will close the door. Then you need to run wire from your input device (button, pressure plate, etc.) to the normal door and to the block the RS torch is attached to. When you activate the input, the signal will open the normal door and invert (turn-off) the RS torch, which causes the funky door to open as well.
Basically, the block is invisible and non-solid except when you land on it. So you go through it, but you only land on it when you fly again when you're flying.
Thats what I thought you meant. I guess.
I dont think it works that way. I think the flying mechanic is telling the game you are on a solid block. Essentially it tricks the game so that the player is not subjected to gravity. So if you are falling then initiate flight the game goes, "ohh they hit a solid block" and applies appropriate fall-damage.
I may be wrong but this makes the most sense to me. Still I wouldnt really call it a bug.
wooden doors act similar to block update detectors in that; when a block that could be powered to open the door or close to it ,with the exception of the block under it, is broken or placed the door opens or closes accordingly. It is rather strange.

Torches! You have got to be kidding me I had one on each corner of my table and must have re-done something to my other library as well. Thank you so much, I am happy to say this is no longer an issue.
I have ANOTHER bug to report, but it probably has been reported before. When I breed any type of animal, after the animal has fully grown it's parents do not stop following it. This is no problem with my cows as I kill them for food anyways, but it urks me to have to kill my sheep because this causes the animals to not follow when shown wheat. I hope 4J Fixes the lot of these bugs.

The current "solution" I found is to just hit them with your hand and it snaps them out of it while doing minimal damage. This also works if the love mode somehow fails to end but I think they got that one.
OK so i noticed this at the start of the tu8 bug update but i could not narrow it down till now.
Sounds will kick off for 10 seconds when more then 4 different audio sounds go off at the same time.
This means if a chicken cow pig and sheep sound off at the same time then that means every audio sound including them that comes from any mob or environment will stop sounding for about 10 seconds. This also means that if you have a bunch of hostile mobs in the area you wont be able to hear them for about 10 - 15 seconds and if that is the case then you could not know if one is nearby or not.
I found this out at first when i was working my farms. I have a chicken farm, Sheep farm, Cow farm, Pig farm, and about a few dozen water pushers that lead to a central point for item collection that i made out in one of my worlds. I was unable to duplicate this problem since i could not narrow down why it was caused by this till i started to open a test world and i built the same exact setup adding one mob at a time and sitting around idle for a long period of time.
I finished the test with all the neutral mobs just to be on the safe side but after testing them i decided to test with hostile mobs. I got about 4 of each mob in a space of about a 10x10 area except enderman since they never stay and i waited for them to do their audio. Again the same thing happened and i was unable to hear any other sounds for about 10-15 seconds.
Well, just ran into the Nether Portal crash bug today. Tried various tests to see if I would be able to salvage my world's ability to enter the Nether, and failed. T_T
I guess from checking this thread and seeing the issue at the top of the list, that it's still somewhat of a problem.
Not sure if it's a bug or whatever but when I breed animals the parents seem to follow the child around instead of the child following a parent
Unsure if a bug either, but the true question is if was intended or not... Since they have done both from what I have seen. Although I have only seen once where they were adult and still had that behavior. Of course that last bit was before the last patch, so that part might have been fixed. Haven't really checked on that. But have seen what you are talking about in both ways, kinda like 50-50 ratio it seems. hmm...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

From what I've see, the parents follow the baby around most of the time. If it happens that the baby escapes the pen, the parents will rush the gate the moment it is opened and run directly out to where the baby is standing. Conversely, the escaped baby seems to make little or no effort to stay close to the pen or re-enter it when the gate is opened. After a certain length of time (but before the baby is fully grown), the baby may start to follow wheat or wheat seeds and I can lure them back into the pen; but this part doesn't always work.

Well like I said i have seen it 50-50 ratio before the baby is an adult. The baby does tend to stay near the parents sometimes. Of course this is based on not what you are talking about. I have had it happen both ways in a pasture. In a pen however what you say is pretty accurate from what I have seen. It is like the fence itself affects the way a baby behavior is. I've not actually tried wheat luring a baby though after that last patch. After all I had my pens setup before that patch on my old world. but have only done a few things in others. hmm...

My save file won't work- when I launch the level it locks up just before the "initializing servers" bar starts.
Is there anything I can do to salvage the world? I had a lot of cool things going on in there.
I used to back up my save world with my memory card but my old 360 died and my new one can't fit the card so now I have no way to make or go to a back up.
I'll check out your seed when I get a chance and see if I can recreate the issue.
