I have noticed that when host options are on, 'can fly' is enabled, and you are falling from a really high height (obviously in survival mode), you will take fall damage when you activate the flying ability. To recreate this, go on a super-flat world, jump from the top of the map and start flying before hitting the ground. This will give the exact amount of fall damage as if you hit the ground from that distance.
I am not sure if this is a bug, just wondering if someone could get back to me on this.
On TU8, there's this bug where my hunger drains real fast. I'm just standing on Normal, Hard, or Easy and suddenly I lose each Hunger point in about 5 seconds.

Can that even be done?? I dont think you can Silk Touck silverfish blocks. I agree with UpupAway - maybe the blocks are becoming "infested" with sf. In one map my base is built out of a stronghold and I had to systematically remove all the sf blocks because they would ruin my new construction.
That's a good point. In creative mode, can you smelt silverfish cobblestone? That's probably the only way to do it.

I think it's more likely that the game randomly converts the stone into silverfish stone if you happen to be in an area where silverfish can spawn and be found hiding in stone (strongholds and extreme hills per the Wiki).
Forgive me if this has been covered before, but I just noticed it last night. I was out harvesting when I got distracted, and decided to go caving. I quickly filled my inventory, and junked what I was willing to sacrifice. I still needed to pick up ONE LAST ITEM, I had 4 blocks of light gray wool and 24 string. No problem then! Crafted string to white wool, converted all my bone to bone meal, and tried to dye the light gray wool white. It appears the only wool that can be dyed white is white. (Useful right???)
Its never come up before as an issue for me, and I doubt many other people go about trying to dye colored wool white, so I thought I would share.
The white wool to make white wool recipe has also been that way in the PC crafting menu for quite some time. However, you can throw bone meal at any colored sheep and it will turn the sheep into a white sheep... then harvest white woold from that point.
Yeah, It helped a lot, as I was making a compact vendor, but I'm merely reporting this one as a known issue.
ohh yeah! It definately is a bug. I didnt mean to shout it down or anything. I was just wondering if you read my reply. Glad it helped. Redstone is generally bugged at the moment as it seems to occasionally get weird updates from nearby blocks. Wires stay powered until the nearby block is removed. It make compact wiring difficult at best.

This has been brought up a few times before and I dont remember if a satisfactory answer has been given yet. My guess is that since health is disabled in Creative mode you dont take damage. The game still calculates fall-damage, it just doesnt translate to the player. In SP w/host options enabled the player does take the calculated damage.
This doesnt seem like a bug. You are playing "Survival" mode. Just because you enable cheats doesnt mean you should have total immunity. There is a descend button when flying so its not like this breaks the option.

So it's as if air is not solid for fall damage?

Not sure if anyone has notcied or posted this yet. Sorry if it has been, but I'm not searching 15 pages to try and find out.
The sparkle animation for shooting a fully drawn bow doesn't work properly. When I fire a fully drawn bow, I cannot see the sparkles and neither can anyone else in my game. Then, when I have my friends try, it still doesn't show. The only way I've been able to get the sparkles to show is by firing the arrow straight into the sky. On its way down, the sparkles show.
Seems pretty buggy.
In case people don't know what I'm talking about, it is this...
"Critical arrows", which occur when the bow is fired fully charged, leave a trail of the same small star particles as they fly through the air. - Minecraft Wiki (Damage)
For some reason, that particle effect for a fully drawn bow shot only shows up when I shoot straight into the sky and the arrow comes back down. It does not do it when I shoot straight ahead of me or at any other time.

You probably didn't have invisibility enabled. When you chose to only enable flying on survival everything still registers the same, damage, health, etc. To prevent that from happening, you should also enable invisibility and the"disable exhaustion" options. The invisibility option does as it says, it makes you virtually invincible. The disable exhaustion option does as it says also and prevents you hunger bar from effecting you negatively hope this helps.
On TU8, there's this bug where my hunger drains real fast. I'm just standing on Normal, Hard, or Easy and suddenly I lose each Hunger point in about 5 seconds.
Is there anychance you might've recently eaten rottenflesh, chicken, or any raw foods that give you the hunger effect, the hunger effect causes your hunger bar to drop 3 times faster than regular.
Interesting issue, I went to enchant an item (which I havent done in several days) and the highest level I could get was 11. This was after I had already enchanted items at level 30 in the past. Also since the TU9 I have only been able to get effeciency 4 and unbreaking 3 when I could get level 30 enchants. Anybody else notice anything like this?
If Im understanding what you meant, your asking if the game calculutes the air block you occupy at the moment you resume flying after a fall as a solid block?? oO
I dont know. Im not exactly sure how the game calculates fall-damage. For example: a pool of water two blocks deep will negate all fall-damage from any height. I would think the issue DarthRav brought up is due to something intrinsic to the flying mechanic, but Im not sure.

Efficiency 4 and Unbreaking 3 are the highest levels Ive gotten in those two enchantments, yes. Not sure if you can get higher without an Anvil (which 360 doesnt have yet). As far as your enchanting capping at 11, I have not experienced that. Dumb question: you got enough bookshelves??
ps- you meant TU8. . . TU9 is not out yet. This is for the trolls more than for you
EDIT- I have a sword with Smite 5. Its diamond. Wonder if that matters.

Interesting... I used to get what felt like a much more random mix of enchants whereas now it is almost a guarantee. Ive put tools of all material and iron armor and a bow and the highest possible was still 11. At lower levels such as 10 or 11, there does seem to be more randomness, but its still predictable (my iron armor is ~always projectile protection 1).
As far as bookshelves i have over 150 in a column surrounding the table so i hope i have enough.
Now I am still fairly new to the game so some of what im saying may be working as intended but i dont think so. The seed is 6840974717710875324 and my newest library is at x: 305, Z: 356 if anyones curious.
And yes, i meant since TU8. I just checked the up coming features for the first time in a little while and got excited

Basically, the block is invisible and non-solid except when you land on it. So you go through it, but you only land on it when you fly again when you're flying.

Thanks for clearing that up! I thought you could dye wool regardless of color. I guess I never had a need for it so I never noticed before now.
Well sometimes when i use a boat, well lets say i just placed a boat now i go to ride off and BAM! you have died, *CreeperOnTheLoose hit the ground to hard* its really annoying because im a high level and everytime this happens i have to reload my world and i dont save the game alot so like i said its really annoying.. ive actually places a bunch of 64-stacks of lilypads to cross rivers/oceans, instead of using a boat..
Also when im "Remodeling" a village then very quickly its like a invisible layer appears in front of me and dissapears, its also annoying because i have to wait the extra second to move..
