In the middle of my base I build a "Temple of the Creeper," a creeper faced building with iron doors. Later, I decided to put an end to my underground lava based mob grinder and make one floating in the sky that would drop mobs into the temple and kill them with gravity, loosing no loot. After I did all this, I added some pressure plates to get in and out of the temple quickly, as the final step of construction. I forgot that in honour of the creeper’s destructive power I made the entire sub-floor of the temple out of dynamite… It ruined everything, my last save was before I built my sky-grinder. Teaches me to make a creeper in my base.
I made an auto sugar cane farm, with pistons that push out the second block up (one row of cane either side of a water flow).
Unfortunately, the top row of sugar cane would break and sit on top of the piston, then fall to the floor rather than in the water, meaning half got wasted. I really can't be bothered putting in a second row of pistons !
you can put dirt or sand on top of the pistons to help reduce that. or run across where the sugarcane is
also i had tried a switch controlled button door. got it to work on creative in a flatland but tried it for my 2 story library and it never worked. no idea why
I made a "drilling rig" out of TNT, pistons, and sand because I saw a video of it. And my brain was like "holy $h1t!, I could make a HUGE version of this". So, six hours later, I had a huge platform in the sky with all the TNT, sand, pistons, and redstone setup and I push the button to start it and... all the pistons are out of sync. So, I have like 8 pistons pushing each other out of place and sand going every where. Then, I get it to work after a few hours of problem-solving so the TNT gets pushed over a hole in the platform and is activated by a redstone torch. And, since it is a 1X1 hole the TNT falls off-grid and stays on the drilling rig; it blows up the ENTIRE thing pistons and all. What waste of six hours >: ( ...
I created a giant blaze farm in a creative flat world. Designed it based on PC blaze physics and never built it in my survival world because of how resource intensive it is and because I have no clue if it even works because I don't have a blaze spawner to try it on.
I tried to give my house a self destruct system for the fun of it. What I did was make a mob grinder and hoping that it will get creeper, put dispensers that shoot enough items to make
a snow golem. Build one, creeper blows cuz of golem. Fault? Don't always get creeper. I also have to rig my house with TNT and my underground lair is huge and will make my house huge.
