Just wondering if anyone else feels the same I feel that super flat would be better if say u spawn on atleast y70 (so no slimes and u get ores) same with the nether so u get netherrack and every biome was in it and there should be trees does anyone else think it would be better for me I like flat & survival
Anyhow, the one purpose of Superflat is to give you an extended building height, and it is primarily used on Creative more where finding materials is futile.
While I do like the idea of the biomes, it would look rather odd in a flat world....
People use Superflat to build high stuff, that's why it is at a low layer of the map. And the purpose of the map is to be "Flat", so you don't have to waste your time cleaning the area.

well in the next update im hoping for the new height limit and may u spawn by one tree and plains biome has nothing for building
I'm kind of confused by your lack of punctuation. But what I can take out from this is that you want biomes, trees and lots of rock?
It might be cool as a feature, but it kind of takes away from the primary purpose of it, as said above.
It might be nice to have it as an optional feature, as well as the ability to adjust the layers like you can in the PC version.
The point of superflat is to be, super flat. That is why there are no trees, and the world is only 3 blocks thick.
I don't really want them to spend time on something that wouldn't really serve any purpose other than to mess up the purpose of Superflat. The only thing I want them to do with Suoerflat is what the PC has. Change the depth of the map and the material that makes up its layers.
Anywho, I'd love an option to have biomes in Superflat. Or even just pick one biome...a flat snowy world, for example. I mean, you can put snow down on the ground, but you can't make it snow. You can replace dirt with sand, but it will still rain. The grass will always be bright forest green no matter how many vines and lilypads you add. There's more to a biome than the color of the ground, and it would be cool to have some control over that, at least in Superflat/Creative mode.

Y'know, I never understood why it rained on superflat worlds in the first place. The point is for people who just want to build without the annoyances of survival, yet they still have a couple. It would be nice if they added an option to turn off weather and passive mobs. Those freakin' cows keep ruining my videos. >=[
Was my post really that hard to read ill try again
Ok what I want is theres a check box one for superflat and another for superflat+ in superflat+ there are biomes and trees and you spawn on about layer 70 ........so it can be playable on survival
Or...or say u create a map with supetflat on if u make it in survival it would be superflat+ if it was made in creative it would be normal

Like everyone has said, Superflat wasn't made for Survival. It was specifically made for Creative Mode. I think you're the only person I've seen that wants to play Survival on Superflat.

I like flat worlds every now and then, with the ability to mine etc.
Try the seed Splash texts are funny at times! . . . . Don't know why I thought of it tbh, but. Problem is, it's mainly swamp land, but has huge amounts of flat land, when you clear the tree's. I was playing for a while on it last night. There's also plenty of easy to find mob spawners etc.
Regarding the superflat+ option, I may kinda like this. I've played on superflat once, but found it entirely useless (Apart from creative). . . Not sure why there is an option to play it on survival. Doesn't make much sense.

well I guess ur right thanks but for a while imma be digging dirt ain't gonna hear nothing but (Munch Munch Munch)
Think of it this way, it will add more... "heart"... to your build. Also, we all heard your suggestion, it's just silly. World generation is meant to give you a somewhat realistic realm to play in. I'm pretty sure there is no place in the world with a completely flat area of such a massive size. Trust me, I live in Kansas, even in the most planar regions you will still find subtle hills and gulleys.
Superflat was implemented with creative mode in mind. It's for the people who want to build something that would be otherwise impossible in survival, or players who simply wish to bypass the process of gathering resources. I do believe that the layers in a superflat world should be customizable. For example, I would prefer a world with only the bedrock layer, and I know others who would like a deeper flat world. But the idea of generation features on flatland doesn't make much sense, it's already a bit ridiculous that you can generate structures in a flat map.

I hardly see any realism (snow by the desrt, brewing enchanting, creepers)?
Build a survival map on a super flat. Build your own cave systems, lava lakes, forests, mountains, hills, plains, etc. Put in your own ores. It's gonna take a really, really, really, really, really, really long time but hey, maybe you'll be the first person ever to do it, besides those who used MC edit or whatever the mod is (MC Edit sounds like a rapper). You could be the first person to make a survival map by hand, erm, controller. Imagine the glory.
if I did that .....CraftyPork Shall Be Known!

You can just use a shovel instead of forcing this hubris down our throats.
