I'm sorry but The End is a big deal to a lot of people. There is a dragon there and everything I hear.
yes, and as was said both in here and by 4J elsewhere they will be adding the ability to respawn the nether independent of the main map, so all anyone without the nether fortress etc to be able to get to the End has to do it wait for then and roll a new nether.
The only thing that kills me with these sorts of post is the fact they always say, "Guess I should have just bought PC minecraft". Like that is going to help them. Its as if they don't realize the same bloody thing happened to it as well, or that it will happen again should they ever add new biome elements or structures. PC minecraft isn't a solution in any way to the issue. You can say that, due to being ahead of us in updates, you would get all the stuff already there. But its foolish to think you won't also want the new things they'll add in the future as well, and foolish still to think that some of those things won't force you to start a new map for them.
The difference between the Xbox Edition and the PC version is the PC has nearly-infinite worlds. You don't have to start a new map every time a biome or structure is added in order to get the new features they add. All you have to do is explore further until you find one. You keep all your old stuff. You can't do that on the 360 Edition.

You can keep your old files on your hard drive and they still open, so you can still visit your old stuff in your old world. It's not gone unless you delete the file. Essentially, what you can't take with you (as you walk Steve's feet off getting to "other" unexplored part of your map) is your inventory - 36 slots of "stuff" - all of which you can usually readily reacquire in your "new' world. In all honesty, ender chests aside, do you really run back and forth between distant points on a PC map to get a chest of cobblestone for building... or do you just go mining closer to where you currently are?
Mostly true. I can have 3 or 4 houses in the real world too. The difference is that I can't take my new stuff back and forth between my houses in Minecraft, those worlds will always be missing features, blocks, and items.
I'm not really willing to re-hash this argument again so I'm just going to bow out.
