Your knowledge, you haven't share jack , all you have done is bashed everything without any true facts. We already know that 4J was looking at rentable servers. WTF is the difference if we pcure that software and host our own saving us some bucks in the long run and making our worlds more enjoyable, but I guess that something you don't really give a rats ass about.
On one hand you say that its near impossible to do because of 'security concerns', which is kinda slap in the face to 4J more or less saying they can't do it (guess they need to hire you mr hacker). On the other hand your saying its ok but i wanna use my 'other xbox' to do the hosting (which kinda defeats the purpose in the first place since we are aiming for much bigger worlds and much better hosting options, and the xbox just isn't cut to do this. But your dead set against letting each user have the ability to setup their own server and host the game how they want with what options they want.

Microsoft won't host them get with the program here, 'looking into rentable servers' is just thier way of saying sorry its against m$ policy to host 3rd party servers. Its something thats being changed in the new console. Its why blizzard hasn't brought warcraft and diablo to xbox, as well many others.
I imagine they are beating on M$ doors but with pretty much deaf ears on the other side so yeah i want this software one way or another if not the protocalls used in communication.
The xbox already has the ability to connect to your pc its not a big step from there and since tversity is pretty much open source one can probably make some pretty quick progress to do this. However theres one big problem and thats the executable itself. Can't be tampered with and without 4j inserting some type of 'looking' for server option were screwed this is what i want.

First he 'assumed' i was ignorant in this and 'treated' me like a child. I gave him the treatment that he was looking for. One shouldn't assume your more knowledgeable over some else as you just never know who's on the other side. Truth is I'm probably old enough to be his father. I've got a degree in computer programing and have pretty extensive computer skills in several major languages.
I certainly don't appreciate being 'talked down' to which is exactly how he came off. Before one jumps the gun and belittles another they should at least check to see what type of skill set they have.

I'm not I know a few key developers at blizzard and this is the 'primary' fact. You don't believe me contact blizzard support and see what they say, they won't pull any punches and will list their issues, primary being 3rd party servers. Blizzard wants to use 'their' servers with paid memberships which violates M$ TOS. Including full rights to ban and punish members as they see fit.
