The title is in reference to all the bugs that keep arising.
I stopped playing TU7 because I got extremely far in a survival world, collected tons of resources between 4 people, built an awesome village for ourselves, and when we wanted to dive into the nether for a Brewing Table, and other new goodies, we of course found none.
It took almost two months for this to get fixed, and by now those 3 friends have given up on our world (We were really anticipating Nether Fortress exploration, but the Fortress seemed pointless being so... empty).
This isn't a rant. I'm not frustrated with 4J, I understand the difficulties of game development. I respect all they do, and love the game. But, I am for sure disheartened...
I'm just curious as to how many people feel bugs are getting... how to put it... itchy? The bugs in the game, to me at least, are starting to stick out a lot more. TU8 was a bug fix title, and after 2 months of waiting for them to smooth out quite a bit, I'm seeing more bugs come from this update. Hope all is smoothed out soon, and my confidence can be restored to XBLA Minecraft!
The nether fortress has not been in the game that long... a month at least, but not 2...O_o
Also note there will always be bugs in ever game... Some more noticeable than others. I just learn to live with them since I at least get to play the game. Now if it were a critical bug that is a different matter. Critical as is freezing up the xbox or corrupting the save file or something along those lines then I wouldn't be able to play. But I have not ever experienced those so far, so I am content.
None of the bugs that are out there really affect me, since I don't rely on them to affect me. If that makes any sense. This game is a work in progress, so what do you expect... as nothing in this world is perfect...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
i am also very mad, it took me about 2 weeks to build the perfect girder and clear all spawns, they need to at-least let us reset the neather, or randomly put a blaze spawner and some roots in everyones neather

They have mentioned something along those lines... the reset thing, but at a later update... as this recent one was primarily a bug fix anyhow...

I didn't say two months exactly...
I'm sorry to be so sharp, but your post seems rather critical to what you think I know :(. Yes, I know bugs are going to be in a game. No, I'm not expecting a WIP to be perfect. All I'm asking is if people have noticed them a lot more lately, as I have. I've cycled through tons of games lately, as my health issues permit the time, and Minecraft was my favorite. Now as I play other games I start to see a lot more bumps in the road when I play Minecraft. Bugs that seemed small, get bigger and bigger as time moves on.
What really got me to start this thread was the multiple (yes, less than TU7) bugs I've seen after TU8. TU8 was a whole update, which is a lot of time when it comes to scripting, reviewing, and then acceptance from Microsoft. I feel more could of been done... Or at least new content with fixes, when they left a few bugs. I know people are going to argue with what I'm saying, especially on this website. But, it's my opinion, good luck changing it.

wasn't trying to sound that way, I was just stating my opinion... and what facts that I do know.
As for having more bugs... not really... seems after each major update that adds things there are a lot but when the bug fix comes there still many bugs/glitches that stay around. I mean these add up after a while until they are caught either by 4J or the audience. So I just think of it as well of course there are... simply. I just report what I do find as such or query whether each I find is or not. I don't mean to sound harsh, as I look at things with a neutral stance, well with my own opnion that I usually keep to myself unless asked...lol

Not disheartened at all. I know I bought an incomplete game and was going to have to deal with all kinds of bugs and issues. I don't or won't get serious on a map until the last biome is added (jungle) which hopefully results in the last time we will have to restart a world to get all the add ons. Then it will be time to get serious
I can honestly that I am a little "disheartened" ... primarily because many of the bugs existed or even still exist as bugs on the PC.. PC players continually come onto this forum and make it sound like having the same bugs they did is the end of the world on the Xbox even though they know that some of them do get changed/fixed in the later updates that occurred on the PC.
I am also disheartened that, despite several efforts by several people to explain certain issues honestly, some issues just keep coming up week after week after week. I suspect that many PC users are just not considering what might be some of the unique best interests of the players who only own Xboxes. The ongoing proposals to eliminate splitscreen in order to enlarge the world size come to mind here. It is simply not in the best interest of Xbox family users to be required to buy 4 Xboxes or 4 computers and 4 copies of the game in order to do what one Xbox can do today in splitscreen mode.
Another thing that disheartens me. Mojang are the creators of this game and, according to the Minecon panel, are very much an active member of the "partnership" that was formed among Mojang, Microsoft and 4J to bring their game onto the Xbox. So, with years of experience behind them in hearing what the PC bugs were/are, where are they in all of this? Strangely silent... except to say at Minecon that they wanted to keep the Mojang stamp on MCXBLA (which might basically limit what sorts of changes 4J might propose on their own to make to the game overall). 4J is dependent on Mojang to release the original code to them in order for them to convert it into C++; yet there are steady complaints criticizing 4J for not bringing the Xbox version right up to date with the PC... No one seems to think about how 4J is to go about getting code from Mojang before Mojang even releases it on the PC.

I'm actually glad that Mojang is so involved. Notch has said again and again that he wants the Xbox 360 Edition to be different from the PC and love that. If I wanted to the PC version, I'd just load it up on my PC right now.
Knowing that Notch is very adamant and vocal about the two version being different gives me hope that once we hit 1.2.3 or whatever their goal is, that time will be spent making the Xbox 360 Edition unique.
Same here but I don't delete them. Every world I create and play on is just a rough draft of ideas and experimentation and with each new world, my knowledge of the game is expanding so that last world, the one I won't need to ditch because of a new update, will be awesome. All ideas and projects will be down to a T since I've had plenty practice to fine tune things like perfect mob grinder, best farm, etc, whichever. After a world of mine is ditched because stuff from a new update isn't in that world and I play on a new one for awhile, I like to go back to my old worlds and reminisce about stuff. "Aw, man, that hole is still there! That's where I was caught off guard by a Creeper while hunting for porkchops! I meant to patch that hole up but never did..."
The very first world I created my friend's house and mine were on different sides of the map so we spent so much time mining a subway system. Eventually he had to go to bed but I stayed up all night finishing it for us. Since I duped stuff, I had so many power rails that the whole track -besides turns- was all power rails. Every now and then I go back to that world and ride the rails, most is under ground but some is above ground and it has a nice view of pixel art and statues I've made. It's like seeing some old, ancient civilization that hasn't yet decayed into ruins. Very nostalgic.
Thanks now I have to go get on my old minecraft world...
I really don't care.
Its not that big of a deal...
Just wait to a massive update comes to restart...
If Brewing Is that much to you then go to creative.
Me on the other hand am not starting over until we get a
great update again. I don't need brewing like everyone else.
I have the will power to not bring up creative

Oh wow, don't you wake up every morning and drink a nice bottle of Self Entitlement
Brewing isn't that much of a big deal to me, I would like it in my game though. But hey, you don't need it unlike every one else. Lol.
And, I guess I must not have the will power to not bring up creative mode? Lol.

Thank you for your honesty :). I'm not really a fan of getting rid of split-screen either, I don't ever use it, but I am 100% for the family that wants 1 Xbox that multiple children can play. Also, it was a selling point of the game when it came out. It'd be going back on what they advertised if it were taken out.
As to the Mojang-4J relationship, I don't look into it enough to know. It seems they have somewhat of one, just not as tight as the community would like.

If you like It In the game, Then follow the simple rule of starting over on a new world.
If you don't like it so what. Its a option and It won't be changed anytime soon.
I never did say people didn't have will power, That was me personally speaking.
I can handle minecraft without brewing as all im saying. It seems like a good amount of you really want it.
Oh yeah almost forgot, When i said everyone else i was hoping the people who don't really care for it would understand but guess not making you the first
They could easily resolve the nether fortress thing with Blazes by putting them on a rare spawn in the nether itself. Like Endermen in the overworld. The newest update I heard was going to put trading with villagers in, but they didn't do that. I hope the next update doesn't take as long as this one did, and only get fixes, and get additions to the game itself. Also have some set up where you get an end portal in strongholds no matter what, even if it cuts into a ravine. Because my only stronghold doesnt have an ender portal because where the eye of ender keeps going, is the open space in a ravine. which the stronghold cuts into. All the fixes they implemented in the update I have never encountered (I guess I wasn't doing exactly what other people were doing) but I really havent been having any problems after the last couple of updates with freezing and stuff like that, which was the main problem I was having. Next update should contain a lot more stuff than usual updates in my opinion. Witch Huts, The End, Addition of Ender Portals in Seeds that don't have them. Stuff like that so the older seeds, our main seeds aren't left out of all the new stuff. I would rather deal with some changes in my world and have to rebuild something I worked on, rather than have to start a whole new seed and start from scratch.
