I was playing until around 12midnight when my xbox kicked me out of live and told me i needed an update, i did the update but it screwed me over. When i go into the screen to pick worlds and anytime after while playing minecraft, including going back to the main menu, the screen is really dark, then when i play. My Hud is gone, i can't see my inventory, i can't turn me head to look around and go in different directions, though i can still walk around but still only facing in the same direction, and i can't see my arms. I am still able to mine though but all of this makes it a huge pain. How do i solve this, can i uninstall the update and it will work again or what? Please help me.
sounds like it could be a corrupt save, try starting a new world then see what happens.
heres the thing, its not restricted to this world, it affects all the worlds, the screen darkens the second i enter the lists of worlds i want to go in which does not normally happen, so before i start playing i'm screwed. It happens right after i chose my storage type.
about the HUD, just make sure the update didn't reset that or change by accident to be off... also make sure any other options were not changed due to the abrupt disconnect. Else it is probably what the person above me said more likely.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
i had some sound issues after the update and finally solved it by shutting avrything down and unplugging for an hour then bringing it back up. hope that helps.
The "Help & Options" menu appears at two levels: One accessible after you load a world (which also contains the save game and resume game options) and another that will appear after you exit your world, but before you exit Minecraft. Neither one, when adjusted, appears to be world specific, so if you adust the gamma settings (which are under the Settings - Graphics section of this menu) from either one, it should take effect for any world you have. Same with the "display HUD" and "display hand" options, which are under 'Help & Options" - Controls.
