I think TU8 is a bugfix, and I believe the sheep thing is a bug.
not really a bug, it was essentially never added that they eat grass and regrow wool yet. Although I could have sworn they at least regrew it back in 1.7.3. Either way the eating grass part wasn't introduced at all yet and will be probably in a later update. We will have to see on the morrow if they put other things in, which unsure of as it is mainly a bug fix update "Patch of TU7".

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
It's not a bug, it was a change made later on in Minecraft, the wool drop was changed from 2-4 to 1-3, but then sheep would re-grow wool. I think the change happens in TU9/.
