I'm sad to say that the multiplayer world I've been working hard on to present to the community... has been shut down. Upon logging in this morning, first time in a few weeks, the whole world... bacame a frosty ice covered wasteland >.> Now I may have to restart in a better tropical looking place.
Those won't really work on the xbox, unless we want a high chance not to ever use our account again....
As for OP... Many of my maps are that way, but the one I continue to work with was snowy in a certain place now is snowy in another place. None of my biome weather even matches anymore. lol
Not that I mind. I actually like what it has done. By the way this is what everyone is calling the biome shift that ruined my day... or something like that when it only ruins some while benefits others. I just got lucky I guess to have a nice map from 1.7.3 that the shift was not so dramatic... But I have noticed a lot more snowy maps.
This will happen with every update that the terrain is messed with or added to. I would suggest not deleting the map just yet and await to use it when jungles come out to see if it will be all snow then. Who knows, but in the meantime mind as well boot up another map to play with till then or go onto another game to pass the time...lol

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
This is because the terrain generation has changed because of the new biomes. Unfortunately, when we get the next major update that has jungles in it terrain generation will change yet again. The only real solution is to start new unfortunately.
Doesnt this usually get fixed after the bug update gets released? To my knowledge the bug update for whatever we are on, I think its 1.00 or something, hasnt been released yet.

It's not a bug. It's a feature of the game that changes whenever a new biome gets added. If your old map has snow where there wasn't before load your seed up in the new update and you will see the terrain is different.

No, unfortunately. They have tweeted that they are toying with the idea of a biome "editor" of some sort but I wouldn't hold my breathe.
Okay. Well for some reason I had a map and then there was snow in new areas and then once the bug update fix came out the snow was gone. I thought it was because of the bug fix. Well personally I dont care what my land looks like anyway.
4J are looking into ways of changing that back. They've said they're trying to come up with solutions to put worlds back to the way they were before the biomes moved after 1.8.2 and 1.1.
