Minecraft is a game of choices, and the choices you can make in the game are vast, and seem to be ever expanding. Many people seem to like suggesting ways for 4J to limit Minecraft, because they think the game is too easy. Yet there are many ways to make the gameplay more difficult for yourself, without the developer making any changes to the game at all.
First, there are selectable difficulty levels that can be changed each time a world seed is loaded starting at Peaceful, Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulties. And because they can be changed each time a seed is loaded, if it was too easy the last time played, it can be raised on the next load.
Second, creative mode and in game items like tools, armor, weapons, enchantments, and potions are all entirely optional. If any of these items make the game too easy, simply do not use them. They are not required by the game. You can just run around the map avoiding enemies if that is the way you wish to play!
Third, there is NO wrong way to play Minecraft, some like the leaderboards, some like creative mode, some prefer survival mode, some prefer exploring new seeds, some like a combination of all of the above. So pick how you wish to play, and have fun!
Switching game modes does not change much between easy and hard at the moment. I just hope in the future that easy will be actually easy and hard will be hard. Right now there is only a minor difference between them making it pointless in my opinion to change difficulty.><

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
If someone thinks minecraft is too easy, check out the No Crafting Table Challenge It's very fun, but not recommended for noobs.
Also since there is no enderdragon, try to survive as long as possible, without ever using a crafting table, and try to actually get far in the game. There is no trading, so you will have to get all of your materials from creeper explosions, or by mining them with a pick you find in a chest (not sure if you can find them in chests in xbox version, though).

Sounds intriguing. I probably won't last but a minute; but it still sounds intriguing.
I would actually really enjoy the game becoming more difficult, whether it be on the PC version, the Xbox 360 edition, or even the Pocket Edition. The game seems to easy me, with the exception being the Wither. I still haven't been able to get three wither skulls on survival mode and fight the Wither. Also, I would love to see the Wither on the Xbox 360 edition soon!

I agree with this, although I believe you should be able to customize the game to suit your personal needs more.
This goes for both the Xbox and the PC versions of the game.
