I am playing minecraft on my xbox with my brother. But when he's not home, I like to play alone. Unfortunately, I still have to log into his account to open the game and use my controller to play, and this means the screen will still be split because he cant log out or the game ends. Can I share the game between accounts?
There's no way to share them as single player games between accounts. There's a good reason for this... so siblings won't go griefing each other's worlds behind each other's backs. Of course, the flaw in the protection is that you know how to log on using your brother's account. If you are the brother who most often likes to play alone, I suggest you and your brother create games with your controller signed in a Player 1. If your gamertag, however, is offline only, this will mean that the world will be playable only offline. Online worlds have to be created with gamertags that have Live accounts and played while the Live account is signed in.
I agree that this is not an ideal situation and it would be nice if there were an option to joint up the ownership of some worlds with other gamertags on the same XBox so that either gamertag could play the world while the other gamertag is signed out; but that option is not there yet.
