I dont know if any of you have ever enchanted diamond armour with protection 3 or 4, but you are pretty much invincible to any thing in minecraft. I have protection 3 in my survival world and I am invincible to fire, and blast. Its not really a negative thing being invincible but it starts to get too easy. even on hard which is what I play. Im probably not gonna enchant my diamond armour anymore because its overpowered. Anyone else agree?
yea diamond armor with protection is powerful but (my understanding) of armor enchantments makes it unlikely to get. The armor that is most likely to get good enchantments is gold and secondly leather.
yeah on my survival island i was playing on hard and i was wearing full diamond armor with enchants i was able survive a creeper blast right next to me and only taking half a heart of damage.
After this update, even unenchanted armor of lower grades (even leather) seem to be lasting longer and providing better protection than they used to before the update.
Protection is very good at this point. Even just use 3-4 exp levels to enchant each piece of armor with protection I, and little effort. It's still very OP and you don't need the levels or risk of not getting protection III-IV
Think about how hard it is to get full diamond armor with protection IV.
If you are using creative mode of course its OP.
If you are in survival... you need to get enchantment level 30 for just a chance at protection on one peice of armor.

Yeah, thats pretty harsh with pigmen and ghasts all over the place. My armour would probably break in minutes
