Why would you disable Jerry? (Captain Sparklez reference)
Many of my maps, they spawn throughout my stuff and kill the players.
Example:
I made a map called "BlockBall" it is american football, with a slimeball. However, when slimes are spawning on the field, you can get free slimeballs and you don't know witch one it the real one, plus they kill palyers
Example 2:
I have a map called Capture Point, this was slime free until their spawn limit was raised, now they flop around and destroy the players.
I have a massive co-op adventure map on a Flatland.
Granted I started it at Y=110, it is still obnoxious seeing them blob around down below and occasionly spawn inside.
I lit a massive grid on fire below the area.
Those little whelps will pay. (I support the idea.)
Slimes can be good, and bad. Good: an area where you have to collect slime balls. The more the better. Bad: them going everywhere when you create an adventure map. In otherwords I agree with you in thinking there should be an option where you can turn ceritan enemys of.
Why don't you put it on peaceful? Sounds like you don't need monsters in these maps.
Some people do like to create certain types of map games on superflat that do require mobs to be activated eventually... and since everything on a superflat map is often within the height limits where slimes will spawn and also since there are fewer places on the map overall where the other hostile mobs will spawn during the day, slimes can easily overrun a superflat creation in very little time. I agree. I think there should be an option for shutting off mobs individually, at least on superflat maps.
For learning purposes, I also think it would be nice to be able to shut of some of the mobs individually while teaching new people to play. it's been my experience that, while some learners are quite comfortable learning to handle all the varieties of mobs all at once, others tend to get overwhelmed and then start refusing to allow the game to be switched out of peaceful mode... ever. They might get more courage, if the mobs could be added into the game 1 at a time or in different groupings 1 level at a time. That is, easy could have fewer active hostile mobs in it than normal and normal could have a few less than hard as opposed to what we have now where the major difference between easy and hard is just how many strokes of the sword it takes to kill them.
i just wish there was an option to disable speficitc enemies and animals in general and i hope it comes eventually because it does cause problems when u want to make spefictic kind of maps, even adventure maps on easy without enemies constantly spawning in
Yeah this is the only point that should be made. Just play on peaceful if you don't like enemies.

I need to give out more reputation. I'm not used to the system, but I see so many helpful posts. D: Sorry if I forget you!
I'm pretty sick of these guys, they always spawn all over my stuff and kill players. This would be an amazing feature would it not?

Stay fluffy~
This is a Signature. Nothing more to see here.

As I said above, ^
"The reason I can't put it on creative is simply because of the fact some of my maps I don't want the players regenerating health
... but the slimes take over some of my maps and kill the players since they can spawn in light.
creative =/= peaceful. However, I forgot that peaceful had regenerating health or not.
