So i build a pretty good mob spawner in the corner of the map awhile ago and am really starting to wounder if animals decrease mob spawn's. I made it next to a island that spawns animals like crazy.. I always have 10-20 animals there even if i try to kill them all! There killing me even if i'm killing them,lol

I get a constant flow of all the mobs and am still trying to increase my spawn limit! Those animals are worrying me.
Do they effect the rate that mobs spawn?

I dont think passive and hostle mobs are diffent things like owning 20+ wolves makes passive mobs stop spawning but does nothing to hostle mobs

They are separate things passive/hostile... their rates don't affect each other.

Yes, passive and hostile mobs have separate spawn rates and maxes. So they won't affect each other

Unless you really hate the constant sounds of cows, sheep, etc, then you wont really have a problem.
