Ever since Minecraft has arrived to the 360, many pc users hated, obviously because of it being way behind in the beta stages and no mods. But, it is 1.01 at the moment and could be 1.2 or 1.3 by march or april. So I want to know what you PC players think about the Xbox Version as of right now. Having both the PC version and the Xbox Version, I prefer playing the xbox because I'm more comfortable playing it on the console. Not to mention that it is getting really close to the PC's.
I like them both for different reasons. I like the Xbox version simply because I can lay on my bed & game on a 46' plasma with a controller. I like the PC version because it's far superior, as said above. I cannot get comfortable with the PC version as I don't have a good set-up to do so.
It has its pro's and con's, but i'm going to withhold judgement on whether its worse or better than pc (just the vanilla game) until 4J starts releasing their own content.
I have to say that I personally think they are equal for separate reasons. As stated above, the Xbox is better with allowing a quick easy way to play with friends rather than going through the trouble of forwarding ports and such. But the PC is better with its modability and larger servers. Also, the Xbox version has (in my opinion) better controls and a better more fluid crafting system. I had the Xbox version first when I bought it in early June, so I kind of grew up with Minecraft until I finally got it for the PC this Christmas, which gives it sort of a nostalgic feel to it when I'm playing and remembering my noobishness.
I treated each as a separate game, as I do all games that are on separate consoles. Each has their pros and cons as one person mentioned above me.
Personally I did start in 1.7.3 about a week or 2 before the patch for that version. I looked further into it watching a lot of the Let's play that were primarily on pc. Well from my stand point I see the differences fairly easily. I expect both to be in the very least different. It is like having many sequels to a game or in one particular series remakes of certain ones from that specific moment it diverged from the original. Final Fantasy comes to mind in this respects. I know it is probably a bad analogy, however it is the way I see it.
I am sure they are not identical, even identical twins are different in birth. They become different as individuals. I like both versions of the game and will continue to play both for separate reasons. After all I have moods to satisfy, but that is me. There are some things I can do better on the xbox, and some things I can do better on the pc version. Really I like the way both games are going as individual games going steadily in separate directions, even if not noticeable on the surface right now. In the future as each progresses those differences will be more and more different.
I don't really truly compare the two to each other, but compare what I can do better in each and expound upon that trait. It is what it is.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I play both on the Xbox 360 and PC, but of course, PC will remain superior.
My only complaint with the Xbox 360 Edition is regarding the World Size. I honestly don't find It very good for Survival mode. I just hope 4J Studios will consider increasing the World size. Other than that, Minecraft Xbox 360 is decent for what It is, despite Its little problems. The Crafting System is much better and easier to use. I do hope Mojang incorporates something like that into the PC version. Because overtime they introduce new items and with that many items, It can be difficult to memorize all the crafting patterns and you have to refer to the Wiki for the recipes.
XBox has a simpler and easier style, as well as easier friend chatting.
PC has adventure maps and a few things I'd like on the 360....
Stay fluffy~
