I'm not sure why, but I always feel compelled to slaughter them. Even stranger, for some reason, while I'm killing them all, I'm envisioning the scene from Star Wars EP.2 where Anakin murders all the sand people in the village where they kept his mother prisoner.

The last fully spawned village I found was turned into a communist state with me as the leader of course The church was torn down for usage in my castle, the preacher killed, and all the houses surrounding the wheat farms were 'decommissioned' so that the wheat could be equally distributed among the people. I then built up the town with stairs for the houses that spawned too far above ground and made barriers against the night-mobs. But of course there is a curfew and any villager found outside after dark is killed.
