Ok. i'm playing on hard, because i wanna get better at survival minecraft (not to mention enchantments out and brewing, it's good to accomplish more in the game) but, i have a question regarding finding things...\
See, i want a world, although randomly generated, to have a few things in it. I can't find a seed that i enjoy that can do this, so i MUST randomly generate, unless one of you have a seed name i can use for having a mushroom biome and a nether fortress in my whole world.
Is there a way i can make a world in survival, save when i start in it, go into creative, search around and go into the nether to see if theres something i want in it, then get out of creative wihtout saving, and still have the world acheivment able?
also, i found ALOT of clay in my random world, is it because swamp biomes contain large amounts of clay, or did i just get lucky?
Swamps come with alot with clay at generation and to find a perfect seed, u must randomly type in a huge number or letters like for example 364899362732 or Kiss my ass XD. The best things to find in seeds are: mushroom biomes, taiga biomes, exposed ore ravines, end portals, nether fortresses, and lastly a unnaturally generated village.

what ARE taiga biomes? and villages don't interest me much. dont get me wrong, i think it's a good spot to get resources, or to get a decent pre-generated building to be in for safety, but if i can live next to a muushroom biome, with a nether fortress find, i don't much care for anything else besides a plains biome or ravines to traverse.
What you can do is randomly generate seeds in creative mode. Hunt around in them in creative and if you find one with what you're looking for, save it and exit. Then re-enter that world. The seed string will appear as a series of numbers on the load screen. Write this number string down. Then, create another copy of that world in survival mode and go from there. After you save your survival copy of the world, you can delete the creative copy if you wish being careful that you don't get the two mixed up. The copy created in survival mode will have the achievements active.

Taiga biomes are flat snowing biomes that have very little trees, don't produce spruce trees, has a completely frozen river(if generated) and rarely appears in any world, and the only useable resources to get from a village are wheat, wood and cobblestone. Mushroom biomes are a big deal cause they have the most useful animal ever which are mooshrooms (they give u endless supply of soup, and milk to survive).

i think i found a seed that works for me in the seed thread in the forums, but will do what YOU said to make sure it works. Hopefully it does work.
Also, i looked up biomes after awhile of no answers, mega puncher is right, that's tundra. Taiga are plain/forest biomes with snow. Tundra is the mega forest with hills of snow.

You're the one whose got them mixed up. Quote from the Wiki:
Describing Ice Plains (Tundra) - "An expansive, flat biome with a huge amount of snow. It does not rain in this biome — it snows instead. Lakes and rivers are frozen over. Hills tend to be more mountainous. Sugar Cane will spawn in this biome, but tend to become uprooted when chunks load as the water sources freeze to ice. There are very few natural oak trees in this biome. Due to the scarcity of wood, initial survival becomes difficult in comparison to other biomes. No above ground structures spawn here."
Describing Taiga Biomes: "A hilly biome densely filled with spruce trees. Grass is a dull gray-blue. Snowfall occurs in this biome, forming snow and ice. Hills are common, and wolves are found in this biome more frequently than in others."
I said "Taiga biomes are the pine forests with snow." A pine tree is another form of evergreen tree (e.g. similar to a spruce). It is not a deciduous tree (i.e. a pine tree has needles, not leaves like an oak and does not drop leaves in the fall like an oak). As the Wiki say, tundra has oak trees - and only a very few of them. Tundra is not a forest.
