They probably are, because they don't want us to know they could put a lot more content in the game. It would cost them to do so, you want to keep your customers in the dark as much as possible about your workings. Wouldn't you? Would you want to let them know everything that you were able to do, only to have them keep bugging you about doing it when it would take a crap load of time and money, and make them mad when you don't do it? You aren't giving the 360 much credit in terms of performance.
The severe lag in my worlds with lots of signs would beg to differ. I also have the PC version and can say with certainty that installing one of those shader mods whacked 3/4 of my FPS right off, on a rig that can run Skyrim at 60 fps minimum on Ultra with a ton of mods and HD retextures.
As for stuff I'd like to see.. some of the decorative things in the later releases, like item frames, flower pots and the like, absolutely want the Beacons, wether they give bonuses or not I just love the effect. For exclusives, maybe craftable furniture that doesnt have to be faked and might actually function.
Oh I so love people who say upside down stairs. Right thinking right there. lol Aye to jungles (think that also means being able to grow coco beans), different color planks, upside down stair/slabs. I look forward to what else they add... any time machine lying around to speed things up? lol jk
Well i built a semi-functional TARDIS on one of my maps, does that count? Could boot it up, see if we could pop into the future (will post pics and a video in the creation section soon)
This is what I want to come in the next big update:
- The end
- superflat exclusive feature for the end
- texture packs
- some xbox exclusive features
- 1.2.3 through 1.4.7 add ons brought forward.
- more achievements (or a achievement pack)

Seasons! I think it would be Cool to see the trees change to orange and then the leaves all vanish for winter. Slight chance of snow in non snowy biomes that will melt. Then watch the leaves slowly grow back and new trees and flowers sprout up! Lots of rain and grass blocks get greener hue. Then to summer with little rain, a dryer look to the grass.... And repeat.
Also natural disasters could be fun. Earthquakes that shake the ground and can make a few blocks fall off. Hurricanes that make a lot of rain and slow down your movement. Also make drowning more likely by taking away so many bubbles to start with. Forest fires are just well fires. Blizzards which make visibility harder and may create snow blocks on some blocks instead of the snow layer. Also might slow down your walking unless wearing armor.
Also add horses. Tameable breedable rideable horses. Of all colors.

'The Console Wars' lol what is this like 1989 or something?!?
"The Console Wars" is the term used for intense competition between video game console manufacturers. It has been around since multiple video game companies have popped up.
I still believe the 360 to out perform the other consoles of its generation. Wii has problems reading discs, and Ive noticed the PS3 has a lot of clipping issues. I own all three, and perfer the 360.
I am personally surprised by how many people dont seem to care about trading with villagers. Maybe thats because its already been confirmed to be in a future update, but still, thats one thing i really dont want to wait for and was hoping would be TU8. Greater npc interaction is the one thing I can think of that would make minecraft a more immersive and engaging experience. with as many people that want fancy shadow effects, i would have thought a similar number of people would want villager trading. As it stands, minecraft is a world where its just you, some monsters, farm animals, and a bunch of severly autistic monks lacking in even the most rudimentary communication skills. its literally the only part of minecraft (360) that is completely non-interactive.
Someeone mentioned that after a certain point, the xbox updates will consist of their own, orignal content insead of continuing to play catch-up with the pc versions - perhaps due to the 360s limitations. If this is the case, i think the realm of npc interaction is something that could be dveloped with a minimal strain on the xboxs hardware yet still significantly deepen the game experence. Personally, i would even like to see rudimentary story-based quests incorporated. dont get me wrong, im not trying to suggest that minecraft be turned into "Skyrim: Lego Edition." But lets be honest, for as big and beautiful a game like skyrim is, the entire quest system is little more than "go here, kill/get/talk to X." not hard to implement in a game like minecraft. i realize that one of the great things about minecraft is that it is not an objective-based game, but adding optional, random, side objectives to a game like minecraft would only deepen the sense of place and immersion, while detracting nothing from prior gameplay.
for instance, perhaps villager x needs you to find and return a cd hidden somewhere in the world, or collect a certain number of something or coloect a sample of somehing that doesnt exist in that village's partcular biome. or perhaps you come across a caravan of villagerss who apparently have forgotten to bring along a master builder, and they need you to design and build their village.
simple stuff like that could add so much to an already amazing experience
The ability to turn off creepers / creeper explosions / creepers exploding blocks. Not because I'm a wimp but because it ruins my adventure map dungeons when I want monsters but creepers blow up the walls.
Or you know, monster eggs. But that's pretty much it.

Turning off Creepers would be great creepers are the only reason I started playing in Creative mode all the time.
It would make a great reason to start up servival and not build hundreds of shelters for all my friends.
It would also mean people would like to play Pre-made Maps in survival and not turn off there awards.

Not really. There is a reason the 360 won the console wars.
Yeah, it did!!!!
BUT . . . how many years ago was that?
