Minecraft has been running fine until yesterday evening. I have just recently got into animal breeding and I was excited about expanding my farm. Then odd issues started arising. First, the animals started not breeding properly. They would touch each other like normal but no baby would pop out until I shut down the game and started it back up, then the baby and the exp was just there like it had been the whole time. Seemed like a lag issue. Everything else in the game was working fine until I tried to chop down some wood. Then my major issue started happening. Every time I chop wood it disappears and I get my wood, then after about 2-3 seconds the wood reappears in the same spot. I am able to chop it "down" again, but nothing appears the second time, and it will keep reappearing over and over. It's also resembling a lag issue, but nothing else in the game is acting this way. "Mining" dirt and cobblestone is fine. Those things don't reappear, just wood blocks. I've tried resetting my router, opening and closing the server and the game, and clearing my xbox system cache, and nothing has solved the problem. I'm very frustrated with it, and it makes not want to play anymore, frankly.

Anyone having this issue?
I play offline and have noted the exact same behavior. The only difference seems to be that my babies do appear after a short, but noticeable delay and my blocks eventually disappear on their own, again after a short, but noticeable delay. My animals will also do "death throws" (vibrate for a second or so) when I kil them. The condition normally clears after I save and exit the game and then re-enter.
I think it is triggered by a form of graphics lag after a short spike or overload of the system's RAM. It happens to me usually in the vicinity of my farm where I have, on average, about 34 animals. Another common related trigger, it seems, is rain starting up. 4J have been asking for more information in tracking down what are perhaps a couple of different block reappearing bugs. Hopefully, they will have a solution in the next bug fix.
Well, I am glad to hear I'm not the only one with this issue. And for the record, if I chop the wood, then save and reload, the block is then gone, which is what made me think it was lag..
And Urban, I have tried playing in offline mode and saving and reloading online, that didn't help... Thanks though
yeah... I should have mentioned that... but then again I did in that thread, as it is only 1 of two ways to combat it... Save & exit, or ....
use an item on the block in question as if placing it.. Item like maybe a melon slice or something. That would make it stay gone, however you would have to do this for each time it happens..

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

Open world in offline mode, then save. Reload world in online mode. Sometimes clears up lag issues for me.

It is not really lag... If I am correct it is more like a block update bug...
If it was just lag then the block in question would eventually go away and not reappear again.
