I've used the axe, the shovel, the pickaxe, bare hands , and nothing. I haven't recieved one mushroom from these... It's not a big deal but I want to know how :/ Any help would be appreciated
In order to get a giant mushroom, bonemeal a red or brown mushroom. (If that's what you needed to know) Also, the axe is the best tool for destroying giant mushrooms. It should yield 2-25 of the same type of mushrooms when destroyed.
If you have legitimately gotten no mushrooms from breaking huge mushroom blocks... then you are extremely unlucky. About half the time breaking one of those blocks (with anything) will cause it to drop mushrooms, and with so many of the blocks, the chances of getting nothing out of it are extremely slim.
Huge mushrooms are collected by any tool with Silk Touch.
This enchantment is best found with Lv. 20+ Enchantments.
However, only the brown, gooey-looking blocks from huge mushrooms can be collected, and both types look identical--you cannot get the brown/red tops and sides yet.
It really shouldn't matter at all which tool - if any - you use to break the blocks of huge mushrooms. They should always drop 0 - 2 mushrooms of the appropriate kind per block broken. The only explanation I have is a streak of tremendously bad luck.
